Great Scientist: 1500 + thrice your civ's total population (e.g. if you have two size 5 cities and nothing else, you bulb up to 1530 beakers). Any Other Great Person: 1000 + twice your civ's total population (e.g. if you have two size 5 cities and nothing else, you bulb up to 1020 beakers). [EDIT: Heh, cross-post.]
Thanks both.
Just to confirm, that's base beakers which then get put through the world size modifier and then pre-req/KTB?
Nope, it's just a straight 1:1 conversion. The GP gets bulbed, the number it says it will give is the number of beakers added to the tech (unless it completes the tech, there is no overflow from a bulb).
There is a weird scenario where you could have 800 beakers overflow, you accidentally click on a 1500 beaker tech you intend to bulb that turn, bulb with a GS and basically lose 800 beakers worth of overflow from the previous turn.
OK then.
As of this turn (T154) I have ~150 Pop, so GSci would bulb for 1,950 out of 2.8K(ish) for Chemistry - probably a touch lower given ongoing whipping. I've accelerated with some Merchants so it will pop on t160 and I guess we'll see how things are going then whether it's worth going with that or storing for a future Golden Age. Saw my first Jannissaries this turn, but I finish Gunpowder EoT and then can get some Muskets queued up. I'm not managing to keep pace with Gingac's Soldier build-up, so I hope Ljubljana is paying attention and starts their own build-up soon otherwise I am toast.
T155 - Mmmmm, toast!
I have a bad feeling about this: ![]() The worst news of this is that second stack moving down from Attaleia, because that means he doesn't feel the need to defend from ljubljana. Also pointing out that they plonked Taj in their border city, which makes Anchovy even less defensible. That city, everything West of it and probably Perch as well is crumple zone; I have to chose the right time to attack, which is probably once they come onto flat land to threaten Trout - If I lose that city, then it's all but over anyway. ![]()
T157 - Like, WTF, dude?
Diplo from Superdeath: ![]() No that's not WTF; seems like an opening to negotiate so I send back 5gpt. This OTOH: ![]() 1) Pretty sure even BS like this is against the agreed diplo rules. 2) Maybe build some Courthouses, IDK? 3) Oh poor baby. ![]() I've been sad that I can't just slam my stack into greenline to build my own civ like I had planned, but that how it goes sometimes. But now I'm also angry that the player who is likely to destroy me is having a little whine about a mechanic that he's chosen not to engage with. Ugh. ![]() Can I get some lurker input on the unit naming, please.
OH, if you ask me i would name my units as well.
Few sgestions: I will fight to the end I will destroy you ho ho i ave 50 catapult I will whip my cties to size 1 Come to your dady want some sugar? I like CH
No, that's bullshit and should not be allowed.
OTOH we can't exactly rule without revealing you do have EP vision.
