Got the turn. I have settlers on the Australian continent now. I don't know how likely it it that cities I plant there will survive. Gaspar has pretty much said he's going to draft rifles and come after me. :neenernee Says he's pissed that I'm not stabbing Scooter. But like I've said before, I don't have as much choice and I'm allied with the guy. Really hope I can tech up to put up some semblance of a fight.

So had a chat with Gaspar. He's pretty much blaming me for Scooter rampaging through his territory (and yeah I guess it's pretty much my fault that Scooter had more intel then if he went in blind). As such he will be using his new rifles (Rifling this last turn I believe) and begin trying to cut a swath back through me since he won't be able to reach Scooter. He'll probably be able to raze those two new cities in the south, but beyond that I don't believe he can really do TOO much damage seeing as how I'm going to use cats on his stacks and Scooter's going to clean them up with his rifles and phracts. I really just didn't have the heart to tell him he wasn't going to be able to destroy me... even as technologically backward as I am. (I got Monarchy this turn ^^).

Gaspar when you do read this, I am sorry that you ended up getting smashed as a result of Scooter finding out about Sheepland. Scooter just has Jedi mind tricks. That and I signed an information sharing agreement at the beginning of the game. You were right from the first diplo you sent.

The information sharing agreement is rather rubbish...what information has he shared with you?

Well, units... a war dec against Sandover, razed Gaspar and informed me to send settlers on galleys.

Pretty much I got screwed in the early game, but at this point working with Scooter is helping me (protecting me) more than any other alliance. Serdoa stopped the war with me based on the agreement with Scooter. Sandover wasn't able to attack me with his massive and era-ahead army. Gaspar may want to attack me now, but it will be Scooter's army that protects me.

So... I lost my shot at winning it all, but it gives me a shot to come in second, maybe...

Building knights. Researching Gunpowder. I should ask scooter to send some rifles my way. I expect to lose maybe 3-4 cities max when Gaspar finally does attack me with his rifles/cav.

Gaspar has offered me peace if I give him the two Australia cities + Ferrytown (The rice city on the border that Sandover razed once.) Oh and no ROP for Scooter and OB for him.

I considered it, but really I want to see his epic attack on me.

Gaspar just for you I believe that you will do a frontal assault but you will be building a fort on the isthmus and using galleons to get at my cities underneath including my capital. Amiraight?

I'm in a GA popped by the GE. I've got optics and I'm building a ton of knights/cats/caravels.

Here we have the south. Both cities will auto raze. In the meantime they will try to produce more cats. This is all just diversion.



Here we have what I expect Gaspar to do. Unfortunately, for him he will not be able to reach my cat stack even if he takes Ferrytown. His stack will be hit by my cats no matter what. Unless of course he goes the Fort+galleon path. I am building caravels with a vengeance and will try to sick his galleons. The good thing is that if he in fact does use the fort he needs to be IN the fort to be out of my vision and reach the city (unless he gets circumnav). So I will see him coming. If he decides to come around the south of Australia with Galleons I'll see them coming too.

I'm building up gold to either make a run at Astro or to upgrade 10 HAs to knights.
