One of the changes the mod we play on made was to change Galleons to require paper. Prevents people from bulbing them super early (except if you're Dutch).

Yes Amica is a smart player, they've figured out my motivations, and we've had a bit of diplo signaling. Hence the gold gift to finish Paper.

Today was another present as I've also spotted Commodore's stack in Amicalola's lands, and I don't think it can make it back to his territory in time for our peace expiration

Edit: this is why their attack was really really dumb and why I was so tilted that they chose that path. Steel for Cannons and Drydocks means that they couldn't realistically finish me off without full devotion on both their parts to the effort. At which point they could choose to definitely lose by ignoring Amicalola, or lose a little slower by hitting Amicalola and ignoring me to lick my wounds and sharpen my knife.
By far the better outcome for Celtia and Sumeria would be to let me exhaust myself and break my teeth chewing on Superdeath, while they go launch their war on Amica a full 10-15 turns earlier.

I had 70-60% odds to burn Caesar, Nauf’s Shrine/Moai/HE, and lost. Yay

Marching my whole stack straight for Commodore’s capital. He probably has enough to stop me but with everything in my empire so weak I won’t get a better chance to pay him back. I hope to burn it then just retreat back to my blob and build a navy to make Naufragar miserable. I’m very salty that he managed to escape his paddling by the graces of combat RNG but it is what it is

Man this is just earthshatteringly dumb. I don’t know why people seem absolutely infucking capable of leaving me alone to war someone else. I AM MORE THAN WILLING TO SMASH SOMEONE ELSE WHY DO YOU INSIST ON JOINING IN? I don’t get it, I truly don’t. In Naufragar’s case he manages to escape meaningful consequence unscathed by one hit in one combat, but I really want to see how superdeath’s pretty knights react to cannon first strike.

Oh sorry I’ve skipped a beat, well Commodore saw the winning move and offers a peace treaty to bounce me back so I can deal with Superdeath who has apparently decided to invade me.
