Each time a city gets captured infrastructure gets checked to see if it survives. 50% chance IIRC?

Ty ty. So the capital might actually have something in it!

If we can even capture it. I'm planning to bombard, then throw in some cannons and see what odds I get after. I won't sacrifice my stack, it's already a bit risky just moving it away from Cairo front.

Although Cairo sent a nice resource trade this turn and I can't find his stack anywhere near me. But he did whip a shit ton last turn. If he's playing to win, he needs to join the ongoing war and dogpile OH.

Note for my next late game: Bring settlers. You don't lose much by razing and re-settling. Might even gain because of culture.

Mjmd asked about a turn split. I should get ready for when peace ends in 5 turns.

First step towards that is to finish off Charriu:



I bombarded and threw in some cannons. Odds looked good so I went for the full assault.

I lost 6 cannons in the initial softening, then 2 more to coin flips. Only lost 1 rifle in the clean up.
Next turn I will capture the capital.

I asked Cairo if he could declare war on Charriu. It is for Charriu's ice city. I hope he helps me out.

I killed the rest without losses. It's as they say.. third time the charm  lol



Should be a nice city when grown back up. GG Charriu, you too defended well. Or I attacked badly. Maybe both?



I finally found Cairo's stack. Cairo having OB with OH removes the possibility of a surprise attack.
