I just pulled up civ stats and saw the scores

*     athlete        Mehmed II     Ottomans     970     Offline

    Dantski     Mansa        Mali             814     Offline
    slaze             Huayna      Inca             658     Offline

And to repeat myself (and many others from a bit ago)....

Uhhh I don't see how India is going to lose this game

If India/Korea have a falling out, all bets are off. But they both seem determined to stick together.

Assuming that they DO stick together, IMO their joint best play would be for India's Ottoman war to go off as planned, while Korea expands into the empty space between former Rome and Inca. After consolidating those lands, hit HRE. India takes Centralia, Korea (with Indian support) goes after the mainland. At that point there's no effective opposition left.

I still think if all non-Indian civs DOW'd India right now and cooperated fully for the rest of the game India is a 2:1 favorite.

I'd accept that money - I think they're closer to 3 or 4:1. The only reasonable way I can see them losing is in a PBEM1 type diplo steal.
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

That would work if half of the world's population hadn't been whipped about by the non-Indians.

My "insider's perspective": I think that everyone else working together now is the only way for K.A. not to win (a chance, not a certainty), but I think everyone mistrusts everyone else too much to do so, and I don't think anyone could motivate Dantski to attack the monster on his back doorstep. This also assumes the new mega alliance avoids making critical strategic and tactical errors.

I think I actually urged Athlete not to declare war on Slaze again and instead try to make nice, but that didn't happen. 'Course, can't say who's right 'till it's all over.

Oh, I agree. My point is simply that things would get a LOT more complex if there were three (varying) strong groupings instead of one overwhelming + one strong.

Completely agree. I think India losing would be a bigger surprise than Korea getting to where they are now...
