Gavagai climbs the chaos ladder

Also, look at the tech thread. Plemo noticed that Tarkeel and Commodore are engaged in some shady turn-order BS - an accusation Commodore did not really address. What the fuck man, just what the fuck. As if their alliance did not have enough advantages already.

War goal is to capture this island. Besides the general frustration I expressed above, I actually have a strategic purpose in mind. I fear losing control over the Southern Ocean: with Kremlin he has massive production and can just overwhelm me. With these five cities subtracted from him and added to me I hope to bring us closer to balance.
Probably no hope of taking anything more, Commodore is going to have Machine Guns soon. I am just at the very edge of my window of opportunity here.

Sadly, Commodore is going to be alerted about my intentions very early, he scouts my shores pretty aggressively. I hope to at least confuse him about the direction of my strike.

War with Commodore. I landed a task group in the far north of the island (selected). I still keep my most elite units in reserve though, ready to strike at Diplomacy next turn.

The southern fleet, in position to strike at Speed Circuit next turn. In total, I mobilized 30 Redcoats and 3 Cannons for this operation. Also something like nine Frigates, I think.

On the northern front, Piccadilly is moving his main stack towards my border. He has more groups of Rifles converging, around 40 in total. If he moves in, it would be the best thing ever, I have 20 Cannons ready to strike him. Railroads is power.

A technical question. What will happen if Piccadilly recaptures this city? Will it be in revolt and if yes, for how long?
On another note, I spotted Plemo's fleet (forgot to take a picture, sadly). It is surprisingly potent: something like 10 Frigates and 10 Privateers. I am pleasantly surprised he has that much but it is also a bit unnerving that Commodore was still able to capture islands near Plemo's mainland. In any case, in a few turns wooden ships will become irrelevant.

Pindicator made peace with Tarkeel. This is some 5D chess well beyond my understanding. Also annoying, I would prefer Tarkeel to die to Pindi so that Pindi would become a credible threat to Commodore.

The only explanation for Pindi sparing Tarkeel I can think of is that he believes Egyptian attack is imminent.

Speed Circuit was captured without an issue. An amphibious attack on Diplomacy went badly, however: I lost two elite Redcoats at 70+ odds and after that I did not have enough units to kill all the remaining defenders. Well, no matter. I am committing my reserves now. By my projections, Rail Baron and Diplomacy will fall next turn, and a turn later I will finish liberating the island.

Commodore offered Bowl Bound for peace. There was an argument for accepting. What I fear now is putting Commodore in berserker mode, if I thought Piccadilly was annoying, you can imagine what kind of pain Commodore can cause. Also, if I win this war, it would make me an uncontested leader of the game and push all others to work against me.
Still, I rejected it. Commodore just seems too dangerous to play games with and I suspect others would be concerned about me anyway. I offered Pindicator to join in, probably should offer the same to Tarkeel. Pindicator is still at peace with Egypt, notably, but I believe that in any case objectively his only path to victory is through making gains on his own continent, even at the cost of concessions to Egypt. If he crushes Commodore together with me now, he might hope to dogpile me together with Egypt later along the line. With holdings stretched between two continents he is already off balance, so sitting still and trying to consolidate is not an option. He needs to win big or fail big.

Piccadilly holds back his stack without creating any immediate threat. It appears he is wise enough not to try to capitalize on my war with Commodore. Pity but expected. He is now fool.

Thanks! Do you happen to know what is the breaking point for revolts?

Commodore did the smart thing: pulled his best units to Kingmaker to make a stand there. Also, I don't have the picture at hand but he took back the city I captured on the previous turn. Won a 42 percent fight against my wounded Redcoat with his Cuirs. He has some really good rolls in this war, I must say.
I reclaimed the city, of course, but it's population and buildings were wiped out in the process. A shame. This is the situation after I played:

The question now is whether Commodore will be able to hold on to Kingmaker. He has five units inside and I have six hitters and a cannon ready to attack next turn. However: 1) He whipped Magic Realm and I assume he will move to Magic Realm whatever unit he will get from there. 2) Is spotted a Galleon in the straights to the East and I assume it will be able to reinforce the city. Finally, there is this:
[Image: embed?resid=2C3E4D99C4716F1F%2136653&aut...eight=1024]
I misclicked a Galleon with three Redcoats right in the face of his incoming fleet (it is under the stack 1W from the fort). I initially wanted to give up this position but now, as I created a high-value target, I am forced to defend it. He has seven Frigates that I can see against my six but I have a coastal defense bonus and three of mine are combat two while most of his boats are speed-promoted. I hope he will not attack, fearing potential incoming from the fog (I have some, but not enough to be comfortable about this battle). Also, and perhaps more importantly, this misclick greatly weakened my second wave for Kingmaker battle. I will be able to ship lots of units there eventually but by that point, he will already have a Machine Gun there. My answer to Machine Guns is city raider cannons but I don't have many of those in the theatre. So, it is not out of the question that Kingmaker will hold.
Offered Commodore peace for the last two cities on the island. Ideally, I would have preferred to also take Bowl Bound and harras him for as long as possible to give Plemo some breathing room but with the way I am mismanaging my troops, I better settle quickly. Also, Commodore will have Destroyers only two turns later than me and I really don't want to invest resources into a naval race with him at this point. Mining Inc and Factories are right around the corner and I'd rather spend my time going after those.

Plemo has a surprisingly strong fleet. Sadly, it will become irrelevant in just a few turns from now.
