[Spoilers] Old Harry's Game

Yeah, it depends on the amount of culture. Usually you'll have a lot more culture when you recapture the city, or you won't be able to recapture it at all (recapturing typically happens shortly after losing the city, if at all). I don't know the specifics on this one so I had to give a vague answer. tongue

Turn 85

I think I had about 250 culture in Exeter, and Serdoa should have about 30 culture so far... Hopefully that'll be enough.

Anyway - a slight adjustment to the plan due to a border pop in Altrincham - I'll sit here, forking Crewe and Exeter (I can road the hill next turn for an attack). It would have been nice to take out the horse archers south of Exeter with spears, but I wasn't close enough.

I currently have eight horse archers, next turn will have eleven, I've stopped building catapults, so I've only got nine, I think I may need to do something about that.

Over in the east Serdoa is either trying to fork Ipswich and Forest Green with his 2 HA axe and chariot, or he's going to attack Azza. You can also see that I've got research visibility on him, so he's after code of laws too. Although will get it a bit quicker than I will.

I believe that captured wonders don't give culture or how has he accumulated culture there?

Really? In that case it must have been his CRE culture that popped the border so quick. That's good news as it means I have longer than I thought to take it back!

Captured wonders do not give culture, correct.

I'm not 100 % sure, but I remember that this topic was discussed in PB7 when sunrise razed The Great Lighthouse on Ichabod's (bluff) demand.

Not sure how you can be bluffed into razing a city, but do you have a link to that?

its pb7, sunrise's thread, ichabod's thread, and the public banter thread are all relevant. the razed city was nakor/tatan's, they were both at war with them but sunrise beat ichabod to the prize. happenned pretty close to the game ending prematurely, you shouldnt have to hunt much.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Yeah, it was absolutely hilarious. Ichabod and sunrise were practically dividing Nakor/Tatan's land. Ichabod asked sunrise to raze GLH in hope of getting some consessions from sunrise. But sunrise actually went and burned that city leaving everyone amazed lol

Yeah, I know it was PB7. I was hoping for a link in sunrise's thread since I couldn't find it. Around what turn?
