No, but he might have some on the cottage in the shade, it's one of the tiles I was unable to scout.
[PB58] Tarkeel and Amicalola's rule through fear

Turn 115 (1 AD)
Endor fell as expected, and AT punished me for the mistake of roading the pig earlier by attacking through to the evacuees on the hill. We killed two of his catapults though. Two praetorians came out of the western fog to kill my harassing squad (flawlessly even) and threaten Ralltiir. We did manage to kill the two scouts he had keeping an eye on things. ![]() ![]()
Turn 116 (25 AD)
Instead of pressing on towards MonCal, AT pulled his forces back into Endor to heal, giving me more time to gather a counterforce. ![]() I sent him a blank peace offer which I doubt he takes, but if he doesn't we have loaded galleys in position. Belkar and MitD each have an archer this turn, and Durkon has had a Praetorian supporting a warrior and archer. The galleys threatening Durkon can also hit Endor if he moves on. I think the worst part about this war is that despite some hope of winning the battle with AT, the war itself was lost ten turns ago when the Praetorians marched north instead of south. Serdoa seems to be settling Ruff's inner ring cities.
Turn 117 (50 AD)
Raid on Belkar: ![]() ![]() Axe vs Archer, 15,8%, loss. Axe vs Archer, 86,7%, victory! It comes with a granary and lighthouse, but there's no way to defend that so we burn it, pouring the 82 capture gold into HorsebackRiding. Our two galleys off Durkon gets chased away by one of AT's, Vodka only gives us a 9% chance of burning it with the defenders we knew were there some turns ago, so we'll get those axes to the defense of MonCal instead. We whip some more catapults, and will probably switch to some elephants next turn. Ruff offered his silver for our excess gold, so most of cities are no longer unhappy.
I shouldn't have been able to burn it, my main hope was to force him into dry whipping extra defenders in those two cities.
Just curious, but where did your galley come from?
EDIT: Answered my own question on the last page. It came from Rall to the N of the trireme.

It fame from Kuat, but actually staged under the trireme the last turn in order to fork both cities, so he should have seen it. Those triremes have been static from his pov though.
Turn 118 (75 AD)
Serdoa offered open borders, and after some consideration and checking that we're not the only ones to give him trade routes, I re-offer it. We have a scout in Ruff's territory that can scout out Serdoa instead. We've got enough espionage into AT to see his research, which is HorsebackRiding in three turns. Our HorsebackRiding completed this turn, and we have enough gold to burn through IronWorking next turn. After that I'm contemplating Machinery (w/Archery) to put an end to the Praetorian threat, or compass and optics for economy. AT's main stack has moved and will be in range of MonCal in 2 turns. If he'd only delayed one more turn, we'd be able to land our four axes and move them in to the defense, now we'll have to land them after he's moved past to hit him in the rear. Endor currently has 2 catapults, and another 3 will arrive in time to hit his stack before he can strike, with 2 more the turn after that. Coruscant and MonCal will both whip a ballistaphant next turn that will also help in the defense. |
