I`ve played quite a lot of badminton. In that sport you definitely point the racket at the ball whenever you`re returning a serve. Also, if you have an easy smash then again the best way of making sure that the ball gets out of reach for the opponent is to aim and point and then hit the ball at the highest point of the curve.

The racket is formed in a pointy way too. I`m very confident about that guess.

As for India - that sounds a bit risky but would be a brilliant clue if correct. It could be anything from blue to red to black.

I also want to be clear on this: Shakespeare would not be a legitimate option because of the "Spear" part of the word either, right? I recall something from the rules that such a clue would not be allowed, but I'm not sure...

Fwiw, I would vote for Amazon next, and then discuss any further after that if it is blue. I don't see Racket. I leave it up to you guys to point to the majority choice.

Correct. Clues must be about the meaning of words. I don't think we really need to worry about that though, as I highly doubt pja is trying to clue SHAKESPEARE with this clue.

INDIA... maybe but it's a very risky word. I wouldn't guess it this turn, as I'd like some feedback from pja if it's safe first. I'm happy using it as a +1 after trying RACKET, assuming we get that far.

I think we all are at least ok with AMAZON as the next word so:

Point to AMAZON

Printing PRESS is used to publish the written work.

WASHINGTON times is a news agency I believe. Never read it as European but definitely heard of it.

William SHAKESPEARE published poems etc. He was mainly a playwright, though?

I favor PRESS and WASHINGTON, in that order. Surely If it was SHAKESPEARE and WASHINGTON Bob would just go "Human 2"?

I don't think any of the Publish words are also Black words. I mean I think you could mean PRESS because the ink used is usually BLACK. Well, I think that'd be very big stretch. So yeah, I think we're missing 3 Black words still.

I think two of those are UNDERTAKER and SUIT. Bob has seen all us mention those and they seem very strong still to me. So I'd guess them first, not sure which order. After that I think I start to like BAT a lot, like BATman. But DECK is also possible.

Definitely a printing PRESS
SHAKESPEARE published plays and poems
Did George WASHINGTON publish anything? Surely not as prolific as Shakespeare though, so this is a distant third for me.

For our 3 remaining black words I like UNDERTAKER and SUIT, then either MINT or BAT.

PRESS>SHAKESPEARE are the most obvious ones.

with our +1 being SUIT.
