Paused with 20 mins on the clock for the Americans and the English.

Why? I see no request by either Ruff or John/English.

Ruff, are you in a turn split with Q (I don't think anyone cares about potential spoiler info. The world is vast)? Q has obviously waited to play after me this turn creating a three way turn split. I don't have any sympathy for him in this case. If you were waiting on him you should have just gone after ~24h so we could avoid this situation. As for England, I don't know the replacement player or his geopolitical situation, but 48h is more than sufficient. I'm in a tough real life situation right now and really don't care about the game, but I'm going to keep playing as well as I can. Frustrations like this making the game take even longer aren't helping anything.

Let's play this game and get it over with any more unnecessary delay. Please. I'm sorry if I come across as a power gaming asshole that needs to get a life, but I want this game to move toward a conclusion.

Rather than post my frustration, most of which does not come from this game situation, I've asked Cal to create a save, which he has done. I'm logging in and unpausing. If you feel that you have been wronged, state your case here and we'll discuss it. I'm tired of waiting unnecessarily. Be proactive and find a solution to get your turn played. Gawdzak is great at it and to be honest he will play your turn as well as most of us would ourselves.

If anyone thinks I'm out of line, let me know, just play before the timer expires.

I moved after you last turn to set this up, not realising what I was doing.

Once I realised what an issue this would be, I PM'd Ruff saying he could move before me if he wanted, but this must've come too late to help speed things along.

Hey, I'm really sorry for holding folks up (I'm England). I can't tell if I actually missed a turn, but if I did, it actually makes no difference in my current situation. Just took one now (9PM EST) and it looks like I'm at the beginning of the turn timer and most folks haven't gone yet.

I don't wanna make other folks suffer for my own schedule so unless I'm in here begging for a pause feel free to let the turn timer skip me.

I'm in the second half of a turn split (opponent hasn't played yet), and am out of town starting tomorrow through Sunday (I should be back Sunday evening EST). Because I'm in a war, I'm very hesitant to have a lurker cover it.

So I'll play this turn in the morning and not end turn, so the turn will roll Thursday afternoon - can I get a 24-hour pause from Saturday to Sunday?

EDIT: Accidentally ended turn out of habit. Can someone not end turn when they're done?

We have dtay, Bacchus and Cynheard left to play with five hours on the clock. I presume dtay just forgot to end turn but Bacchus is in a split and Cynheard wanted a pause until tomorrow. No-one complained when he posted this message so I took that as acceptance and logged in to pause.

Presumption was correct, went in and ended/repaused

I can connect alright Bacchus, have you:
- loaded the mod?
- tried turning your machine off and on again?
- tried restarting your router?

I am on a wifi network that I have no control over today, and yes, this is probably the issue. I will be back on my own tomorrow.

EDIT: I should clarify, that tomorrow is at +3 GMT, so not so long.

Yeah, that is a classic firewall issue. But we're waiting on Cyneheard anyway, so no worries.
