So, the lost and found expectedly contained my book, that was lying on tip of the laptop, but no laptop. I hope it serves someone well.

That's weird--I bounced off you Fintourist, and it looks like I'm bouncing off TBS as well. I've logged in with many different people as recently as two days ago, and I checked my host file and nothing has changed there it looks like. It isn't a problem with the server itself, since Fintourist was just logged in with both plako and TBS--any idea what's wrong?

I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.
