OK, I try not to respond to posts like this, but as a longtime Karthus player, I'll bite. Why in the world don't you have any Magic Pen on this build?!? No Void Staff, no Sorcerer's Shoes, nothing. Most of that AP is being wasted due to the enemy team's magic resistance. Rylai's over Void Staff here just makes me sad.

The post wasn't for bragging about Karthus or his build.....If i'll try to brag about something, i'll make sure to have more than 200 cs at the 40 minute mark.
I just found it funny that i managed to get the 666 AP value without planning it:D
The new Karthus artwork and visuals are great btw!!!:D

Seriously, when playing AP mages you need to itemize more magic penetration. I don't care what your KDA looks like. There's a reason why every professional player goes for Void Staff after as their third or fourth completed item. You are wasting a ridiculous amount of your damage potential with inefficient builds. Any Lux guide worth reading will tell you the same thing:

Unless the enemy team is literally building 0 magic resist, this is going to need to be built by your third item most games. Void staff is incredibly efficient on champions who do all their damage in one burst as opposed to over time. While it is try lux can poke, she's really all about that combo and burst mid-late game as far as her damage is concerned. This will scale your damage better than any other item.

I'm not trying to come off as a jerk here, but these screenshots are painful to watch.

To be perfectly honest, the kills were occuring so smoothly that i didn't even consider Void Staff. I had to go back to base at one point with 4.3k gold in the bank(Athene's recipee and Deathcap).The only reason i built Lyandry's is because of Nassus. If the game hadn't ended, i wd've built Sorc Shoes with Homeguard.

At any rate i was under the impression that the HumbleBrag thread was solely for Bragging purposes(see the first post in the thread)...

You can only beat the person in front of you, and in those screenshots I see one Spectres Cowl and one Locket of the Iron Solari. Even if you understand the maths involved, I think there are better items than Void Staff in these specific situations...and the Liandries or Sorc Shoes would give more magic pen until someone reached 43 MR, which looking at those players would have been most of the game.

Note I'm only commenting on that specific game, but it's not actually clear cut...
