If Yuris had had perfect read of the game, he would never attack teh like this. Unless he gave up and went for second place. He is talking about taking frankfurt and mainz, if he manages that he gains him a front vs hostile teh to the south, and then in 10 turns sullla will attack from the west, taking the cities back and ending the game. So best scenario for Yuris is inevitable loss. Even if yuris/teh can defend their lands, sullla gets to pick his win-condition.
Instead Teh will obviously fight over frankfurt. Teh knew he couldnt take sullas walled city, just harass, so he will instantly move all troops back with a vengeance. Could even try a peace with sullla (is there some 10-turn peace in game?) Sullla can relax and finish archduke, probably use some of his newly upgraded units to hasten the operation. After Archduke is out, Sullla has twice the army, pop, research speed than anyone else.
Yuris attacking stockholm and building up anti-Sullla units was only chance to end up with a different winner than sullla. Which is sad for teh, he played well and tried.

I say the game will be called in 30 turns. Even with halved yields in occupied cities, Sulla is going to be an era ahead soon enough. Hansas are cool, but there is simply nothing that teh could produce that would bother Sulla.
One thought that comes to mind is that in Civ6, due to the occupancy penalty, the entire field should always join up to protect the last city standing of a nearly dead opponent. There is nothing Yuris would gain from capturing Archduke's easternmost city that would equal keeping those yields halved for Sulla.

he can take Frankfurt because it was a surprise attacxk and teh's units were away but he wont take Mainz. 3 Warriors can't take on 4-5 Archers. this idea is as bad as possible.

Of course he writes that. He wants other people to make the same "Lets help Sullla win the game"-move in the future.

On the other hand, a lot of the metagaming things about Civ 6 are mostly unknown right now. Who here had managed to realise the implications of the halved output from occupied cities until Sullla pointed it out, even with experience from actual Civ 6 play?
After this game, everyone will know, yes. But do not assume that the players know right now.
I'm not sure Sullla will be ahead an era soon enough. From what I could see, Archduke could keep up with Sullla in research and in expansion, despite crappy play - where he failed was in military and, I believe, in scouting. teh will soon get buffed libraries.
If I would point out one area where Sullla has outplayed everyone else, it was in preparedness for the game and scouting. He has really made use of being first to meet most city states in culture, faith, and science.
FWIW, be careful of becoming hypercritical. Criticism can help one get better at playing, but too much criticism too quickly - even if it is valid - can really feel like a personal attack.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

I don't think it's very fair to expect any player to want anything other then what helps them win the game, it's like being irritated at Teh for being happy if Yuis had attacked Sullla... In any case Sullla always plays to win, nothing else interests him usually.

If TheArchduke had put two envoys into Hong Kong and saved his gold instead of buying tiles then he could have built 5-6 warriors and slingers to upgrade quickly if needed. Hong Kong would have declared war on Sulla and eventually attacked with their archers. He could have afforded to upgrade multiple archers and legions (potentially boosting his city defense earlier). It would still have been painful but he definitely would have had a shot at killing off most of the invasion force and possibly retaking his capital.
Since he was on a coast he could have built one galley to give him advance warning (and a chance to take out some embarked units). Then he would have known to finish Iron Working for Legions. Also, the galley could have kept teleporting the general back to Sulla's cities. Now that Sulla has captured a city he can just transfer it back in one turn if it gets teleported.
Basically, I don't think it would have taken much for the invasion to play out differently.
Also, when I played on this map type there was a 9 tile island on each edge. So there are probably still four spots that can be settled.

I would think anyone who has conquered some cities in Civ6 knows they are useless till they are ceded or the owner is dead.

What makes you think I was irritated at Sulla?
I was merely pointing out that Sullla is not a reliable judge about the sense of yuris action?

This also let's teh off the hook for not building mr. battering ram.

I read Sullla's post and the main issue is if anything other than first place is worth anything. It would actually wouldn't be such a bad move (but still a bad move because he won't be able to take out Mainz) for Yuri to DoW teh if it is. But we lurker don't care about that issue because we know that Yuri is just misreading the game situation.

If this would be the case, then I'd say, don't play an MP game yet. I have played so many AW games, even I figured out that taking one enemy city is useless and you need to proceed to remove the entire Nation from the game before those cities become useful.
The same goes for city sieges. By now, experienced players know that a few archers won't cut it. The best way is still an attack with one battering ram at the city walls. Even catapults are limited in their usefulness compared to a few strong melee (or horse types) units with a single battering ram. Once the city walls are down, catapults do limited damage and direct assaults do quite some damage.
If you want to pillage a city properly you got to attack in force. Pillaged districts are a pain to repair.
Anyway, maybe Sulla shouldn't wish for the others to completely play into his hands, but should wish for a good fight. I thought his goal was to create more interest in civ6, not to show how far superior he is to all the rest? At the moment, many lurkers are quite sad about this game's outcome. I am not too sure whether he achieved he intended goal. Lots of interest doesn't mean, everyone is delighted with the game mechanics in this case.
