Alliance Meeting

Well, yes and no, Warblade. Yes, that may have been a concern that some didn't do the math of "9pm EST = ?" However, the meeting lasted for what? 2 hours? In the span of that, we only had a couple stragglers, and I don't think any said (at least in any chat I read?) that it was because they got the time wrong. ANYhoo. We knew we'd miss a lot of people. That's why we made sure to get the screenies. *points to Sci* Hopefully he'll have them up today or tomorrow. *hint hint, beg beg* tongue
Fire good.

Yeah sorry my apologies to all the RB members who showed up 1 hour after the meeting got started and were confused.

The meeting lasted for a little over an hour, an hour and a half at most, and yes, there were some stragglers who came in exactly one hour into the meeting.

I can't say whether the time was borked or not. I can say that saying EST when we're currently in EDT can confuse people, especially those who utilize GMT such as WarBlade. We also had at least one very active member who "forgot" about the meeting due to other Real Life plans that conflicted.

Regardless, IMHO the starting time of the meeting was and is the least of our concerns about it.

I must agree with Roland, as far as the timing being the least of our problems, and I beg your padon in advance, if any should find fault in my observations. Be that as it may, placing blame on one another will never solve the current problem we now face. Personally, I have been in this situation before, and a phantom leader is no solution. It is, by far, the fastest way of losing the alliances we do have. Guilds looking for alliances seek others who are as active as themselves. By active, I do not mean activity on a forum...I refer to activity ingame. It does not matter if you are active every single day on forums, because many who game are there to game, not sift through tons of forums they have little interest in...hence, guild announcements. Use em, they actually do promote forum activity. No one wanted to take the reigns in this matter, and now that someone has stepped forward regarding the matter, and in tow, other allies are also in agreement, why am I seeing such a stink about it? RB did not want the reigns, we did not want the reigns...so what do we do? The fact of the matter lies in plain view...it is highly unlikely we will gain other allies as we now stand, unless there is a major change regarding ingame participation, and that also includes those who feel it necessary to mute the lot of us, simply because you feel there are only teeny bopper conversations taking place...a better solution would be taking the time to get to know your allies, and you might find not all of us are teens who play, some of us happen to be much older...not to mention, decrepid.
