I must agree with Roland, as far as the timing being the least of our problems, and I beg your padon in advance, if any should find fault in my observations. Be that as it may, placing blame on one another will never solve the current problem we now face. Personally, I have been in this situation before, and a phantom leader is no solution. It is, by far, the fastest way of losing the alliances we do have. Guilds looking for alliances seek others who are as active as themselves. By active, I do not mean activity on a forum...I refer to activity ingame. It does not matter if you are active every single day on forums, because many who game are there to game, not sift through tons of forums they have little interest in...hence, guild announcements. Use em, they actually do promote forum activity. No one wanted to take the reigns in this matter, and now that someone has stepped forward regarding the matter, and in tow, other allies are also in agreement, why am I seeing such a stink about it? RB did not want the reigns, we did not want the reigns...so what do we do? The fact of the matter lies in plain view...it is highly unlikely we will gain other allies as we now stand, unless there is a major change regarding ingame participation, and that also includes those who feel it necessary to mute the lot of us, simply because you feel there are only teeny bopper conversations taking place...a better solution would be taking the time to get to know your allies, and you might find not all of us are teens who play, some of us happen to be much older...not to mention, decrepid.
