I like the southern plains hill. The question, IMO, is have you put other food res down there? If you have then I think you broke the starts, but otherwise, it's cool.
Build: Worker -> Granary (partial) -> Settler (whip 4:2) -> Granary -> Worker -> Worker (whip 3:2) -> Settler
Worker: Farm Rice, Farm Corn, Cottage S, Chop {E, SE, SSW, WSW} of capital
Tech: Pottery->Mining->BW->Mysticism->Polytheism.
Settler completes on turn 22
Second Settler will complete on turn 32
Population of 2 (4t whip anger)
Food Box at 12/16
Polytheism is at 86/95
This one was signficantly trickier, to manage the growth and whipping. You can actually hit size 5 if you want but then the Granary is only a one pop whip, and I found it impossible to manage the whip overflow and growth properly .
Hmm...Krill's plan is similar to option #2 but has some interesting differences. The first thing I notice is that in Krill's sim he goes for the Corn first. Actually (as he himself pointed out) the Rice is better by 1F since you grow one turn faster. So he definitely ran more sims after the one he posted . The next difference is he doesn't bother letting the Granary finish after the Settler. I do it so that I can hit size 3 and whip the third Worker, however he uses lots of overflow to get the second Worker done in 1t (hence the delay of the Settler), and then the third Worker is quickly chopped out. I think he gets a few more Worker turns in, at the cost of a 1t delay on the first Settler. He can probably whip the second Settler quickly as he grows while finishing the Granary and a Warrior back to size 4, but it will still be after my second Settler.
Bottom line is we can perfect this plan over the next few days. I think it is clear that 1N and settle is the winner, so I will do that and test out the tracker .
Okay, as promised a report every turn, no matter how damn boring it is. First, moved the Warrior and Settler:
I think I can see coast at two spots. Krill wants to settle on the eastern coast and share the Rice. I'm a big fan of sharing food resources, so I dig it, but I want to get the area properly defogged to claim any seafood.
Now, for some C&D work (sigh). Let's see, I guess I'm supposed to look at the demographics screen.
Hmm...interesting . I'm pretty sure everyone has disbanded all their units and I'll get a Conquest victory screen by the time the save gets back to me.

This I agree with. I actually want to settle the second city inland so that if it becomes the holy city it can't be easily boated. I'm also considering how to delay cities 3 and 4 to get a possible double holy city. This would require most worker attention be focussed at city 2, with an early granary chop to get it as large as possible, an early settler, and for the capital to focus on worker production after the settler.
Warrior should probably move 77 and then south because you are more likely to be able to split off the corn than the rice due to being further way, and that is more towards the centre of the map (judging from the fact that southern plains hill was added for the EXP civs to move to).

You don't have the worker force for 2 early settlers if you are chopping, and if you aren't chopping you are going to take ages to get that settler out.
