New difficulty level?

PS : my current names in the spreadsheet are Novice Mage Wizard Magus Lunatic Master

I'm not sure about lich as it reminds me of being undead.

Is "archmagi" plural with "archmage" being singular?

Lunatic just sounds like a mad person rather than a wizard to me. It would give me the impression the settings were crazy rather than difficult.

What is a "magus"? It sounds very similar to mage.

Magus...is just another way to spell Mage I think. There was an imprtant character by that name though, in Chrono Trigger.
Lunatic comes from Touhou where it's the standard difficulty after Hard but before...I think, Phantasm?

I want to avoid Lich, Warlock and Witch as they imply black magic, while the player can play any realm.

Here's another one: theurgist

Oh right, well I'm not sure you could have both mage and magus especially if they mean the same thing. I've not really heard of magus before though.

I quite like "adept" as it implies one level up from novice.

How's about "evoker", "diviner" or "demigod" ?

Theurgist is an AI objective.

I think it's fine, a Mage and Wizard is also the same thing. And Magus sounds more powerful than the others.

Meanwhile, good news, I was able to insert up to 10 character long strings, so we can have Apprentice. I still like Lunatic though, and instead of Master, we can also have "Mastermind".

Adept is not bad either, although for me it's hard to place in the ranks. I think it's higher than just a normal "Wizard", but maybe it's below. Not really sure.

As we can have more characters, Archmage is also an option.

Demigod is a hero level. Diviner...is kinda like Astrologer. Evoker...idk, sounds like a retort to me even though there isn't one named that way.

Adept is a synonym of apprentice in several languages. Evoker sounds like a synonym of conjurer but I can't say why '¬.¬

Another one: demiurge (between man and divinity)

Now we can have sorcerer which I really like, but I suppose it could sound like it boosts sorcery magic.

If you find space for another letter somewhere you can have illusionist.

Of course you could keep the original names and just insert "very hard" between hard and extreme tongue

...that...is a good idea. Also, I could do more than 10 characters but it doesn't fit into the button so it looks ugly. Not worth it.

All right, pick one of these examples, I think at this point we have too many good options instead of not enough of them :D
