Finally discovered bronze working. ANND.... My copper is in a pretty shit spot, while Chum's is in a great spot for hooking it up. However, its also really vulnerable. Im going to attempt to exploit this vulnerability so long as my 2nd warrior doesnt die to a bear. If the bear doesnt kill the warrior all is going to plan. Otherwise, i might be tempted to just whip the worker next turn, into a WC. Plan ATM is to whip worker, and overflow into a chopped barracks, all depends on whether Chum is already done with the copper mine, or not. Its going to be close either way. shakehead

Chum has a warrior shadowing my southern warrior. I would have MUCH higher expectations for this if that bear hadnt nearly killed my northern warrior. BUT! I am going for it anyway. Following the "move" signs, puts me on his copper the turn that our peace treaty expires. He currently has two workers on it, if i did my math correctly ( i didnt do any math ) i should be just in time to hopefully nab 2 workers OR at least burn the mine. My first WC will be 1 turn behind the warriors, and should be able to destroy the copper mine with no issues. I dont see a way that Chum can hold that mine for long enough to get a spear whipped out.. But i could be wrong in my head math by a turn, but it should realistically be only one spear.......... unless he is saving gold for a spear upgrade? Am i too paranoid? am i not paranoid enough? Find out soon!

Everything is going to plan.. only thing that would make this better, would be for Chum to move both workers onto the hill north of his city.. But that would be a straight derp move. Ill be 99% likely razing this copper/rice city due to auto-raze, but the capital will be a nice addition. Using warriors for fogbusting, i should be able to cottage spam my way into the rest of the pack if not pull away. All depends on how badly Emp maintenance hits me. I also have to prepare myself for the possibility of a neighbor behind chum. Ill likely have to just archer spam to keep myself safe if possible.

GG chum? unless he has archery already OR gets super lucky combat rolls...

So yeah, since chum didnt whip last turn.. i very much doubt he had enough production to 1 turn a spear at the end of last turn. Judging from the power graph ( im no expert in reading this shit ) it doesnt look like he has archery. He is very likely researching it now.. but im hopeful that he will have minimal defense for what takes pretty long in base bts to research. Ill have another WC popping EoT, and i CAN follow up with another WC at the end of next turn as well, although id rather pump another worker out.

I have my units positioned where i think its best strategically. WC is able to either capture the city, grab a worker, or kill either of the warriors. The hero warrior ( injured one ) i moved to the hill to both tempt Chum to attack it with his warrior, and to threaten any retreating workers. My other warrior that razed that damn copper mine to the ground, has a 50/50 shot of dying to Chums forest warrior, and while that would suck. Im hopeful that he either A: doesnt attack.. or B: Does and one of his warriors dies. My other OTHER warrior, is going around the mountain range to possibly snag a worker if chum decides to run them away ( if he doesnt just delete them ).

Now, Chum can do some annoying things if he does go for the warrior kill attempt first. The warrior on the copper is critical. If it dies without scratching whatever attacked it Chum could then block my way towards the city with both workers, allowing him more critical time to whip archers/warriors ect. So thats the worst case scenario.

Best case/most likely scenario is that he was researching something like Animal husbandry or Pottery, and isnt even started on archery yet. Im hopeful he doesnt delete the workers when they are about to be captured.. Im hoping to build a bunch of fogbusting warriors out of one of these cities i capture. Also, finishing Fishing EOT and plan on teching pottery with 3 prereqs.. should be fun!

Exciting times!

I think you've got your images set to save as png in your civilization.ini file. If you change it to jpg they'll be a lot smaller.

Well, slight change in plans.. i have 1 WC otw, and 1 done EoT... so those will be the back up. Im hoping i can either grab some workers with a warrior or two.. or slap some exposed warriors with my current WC. ( plus i wanted to get across the river to avoid some BAD rng... )

Poor Chum-

Look for a file called CivilizationIV.ini, mine is in C:\Users\<NAME>\Documents\My Games\beyond the sword\. Then find the line: "ScreenShot Format =" and set it to JPG, then save.
