NVM, I just read that you've yet to allocate food.

I had a look at the map. Here is what I noticed:

Or not? Is this supposed to be the final version? I'll rewrite what I first wrote before the edit: The easternmost starts are much worse than the rest. Greece is forced to island hop (at least there's something!), but Mali is straight up fucked. There's room for just 1 city that claims food and nowhere else to go. It's unplayable in the current state, or at the very least it's axe rush or bust. Greek start can be helped by making some/all fish coastal rather than ocean.
Rusten...that's why I don't want to use Pangaea. This is probably the best one I rolled. The food is pretty much fucked for two players on any map. The map just about stretches to 110 tiles per player. The map settings then jump to 150 tiles per player and that's not what they wanted.
I'm not allowed to edit outside the capital. That's actually a closed to finished map according to what they asked for.
Pangea always was shit, even for single player. Maybe it's because it's unchanged from vanilla while B&S was introduced in BtS.
If your hands are that tied then this game is going to be... interesting. Ideally someone will convince the players to use a B&S pangea instead, cuz that map is miserable to look at. I would say that "give everyone strategic resources" does not need to be inside the capital. So could at least level the playing field there. Biggest problems there are propably the missing horse for Sitting Bull and the iron situation for some players.

This does explain why you're so insistent on not being responsible for who starts where, because the Mali position player would surely want to find you and kill you.
