Turn 34 (forgot to take pic, therefore pic of turn 33):

Situation of turn 34 is same as 33, barb scout showed up and is walking too close my settler's path.

So I send warrior and slinger towards barb scout and settler, this also caused settler take bit longer path at turn 34, delaying settling a bit.

At more bright side, writing completed and tossed down two campuses. Eger still need to grow so no campus build there for a bit till I can do it in short time or for boost of Recorded History (need 2 campuses).
Foreign Trade completed, I didn't change policies, still need a pantheon and barb threat don't look that big for now.

Now Research State Workforce which shall be completed when campus is finished. After that Early Empire, I decided to go for State Workforce first, not EE with colonization policy.
I want spam some builders with Ilkum after finishing campus/state workforce, also build government plaza in Buda and if possible I can maybe build Ancrestal Hall quicker then finishing EE thanks Danube power.
This way I can spam out settlers fast after finishing EE. I did consider Warlord Throne as government building, but map is bit bigger than expected and a lot empty lands to settle in.
Warlord Throne do work only if I actually manage to conquer a city which isn't sure with players likely wary of Hungary's levying power. Also production boost is merely 5 turns comparded with lifelong 50% discount for settlers and free builder.
I would take Warlord Throne if map size is bit same of PBEM 1, four clover island. But here is a lot more lands, so expansion it is. My built units shall protect my empire while levyied units shall invade or harass opponents.

International news: TheArchduke completed second holy site but Scooter finished Stonehenge, claiming first prophet. Wondering what beliefs he shall pick, defender of faith for Scooter makes TheArchduke easier target due not picking up DotF and investing in Holy Sites instead encampments same as Grotsnot in PBEM 13.

Extra turn today, so turn 35:

Oh god, barb scout almost sniped my settler. He is standing at spot where I did orginally intend to send first. But my foresight dictated that settler took a detour at other side of river and slinger hurry back to Buda.

So settler is safe but another turn delay for settling cotton city. Better delay this way then having barb scout capture settler and I probably have to chase barb settler forever.
Barb scout often didn't capture builder/ settler this early but I have it happen sometimes in single player, even if I wasn't one who razed camp or if camp is still intact. I am taking no chances here.

I did rearrange tiles in both cities after reaching size 4 or almost, 5 more turns for campus and I expect with 1 more workable tile for Eger next turn that it gonna complete monument in 5 turns too.

Turn 37:

That damning barb scout pillaged horse pasture, now settler is safe, I start attacking it with slinger.

Warrior is in position to deal with barb scout if it seeks rice tile to pillage more.
Campus don't get delayed by pillaging thankfully, after state workforce completed, use Ilkum to whip out builders to repair and improve tiles.

Turn 39:

Campus and monument completed next turn, TheArchduke might freak out when he opens save of turn 41 if he see that both my science and culture is going be double his.

I did swap state workforce away for 1 turn because I need one more turn God of King policy card to get required 25 faith for Pantheon.

Speaking of TheArchduke:

That is in my eyes argessive foward plant against city state. With this move, it is decided: I shall use first envoy for Amani and put it in Bandar Brunei.
Then I levy army and gotta knock that city a little harder.
Reply

Turn 40:

Finished both campus and monument which did boost my science and culture greatly. Also got rid of that annoying barb scout, he was planning to pillage rice tile too.

TheArchduke's science jumped with 2, did he find or finish request for science city state which I still have to find?

Hm, I think that I am going fail to get dark age. Suzeraining city state is 2 points, finishing iron working is 1 point due first classical tech/civic.
In that case I just collect as many points as possible, scout returns to Mount Kilimanjaro and hopefully nobody has found it, otherwise just 1 point for encountering it.
Getting to Political Philosophy frist and getting Oligrachy first would net me 5 points. I can employ Amani and do so called "Amani hopping" to farm suzerain points.
Every 5 turns when Amani is established, I levy army to keep suzerainship status and Amani hops to other city state and after 5 turns I gain another 2 era points and another suzerainship.
Hopefully I manage to collect enough points this way to trigger golden age.

I am going put Amani in Granada first, then Antanavario and finally Bandar Brunei. If I place Amani in Bandar Brunei first, then TheArchduke who did encounter Bandar Brunei shall see unknown governor put in that city state.
It would be no brainer that it is Hungary's Amani and heavily telegraphs towards TheArchduke that I am planning to attack him. With Granada it is still unknown.
But when I levy units, my strength shall shoot up strongly and bunch of gold gone. It would telegraph TheArchduke but as long he don't see me suzeraining city states that he did meet, he is uncertain whether who is my target.

Granada got at least 2 warriors, I did see them when my northern warrior is wandering close city state to return to my lands.
I can levy them and have them run into my lands. Then when I finish Iron Working and hopefully hook up iron already, upgrade into swordsmen.
With Oligrachy added, they are 45 strength, 4 moving beatstick, if TheArchduke sees this attack too late, his empire shall crumble quickly.
The time limit is 30 turns for levying units, after that I need to relevy them again to make use of same units again.
But I need to find actual iron first, if it isn't in my lands already, then 4th settler with colonization policy shall settle next or upon iron.

Cornflakes also did finish campus (3 turns ago), we have a race for next GS. Maybe if things don't move quickly, next GS might be Hypatia. I can gamble by not building up GS points too quickly.
Next turn State Workforce finished, toss down government plaza. Swap God of King policy for Ilkum and crank out builders. Early Empire next to get some settlers out.
Also I want get some time for building government plaza and building. I want to do many things same time but there isn't any room. I need to make some decisions upcoming turns.

Turn 41:

Finished State Workforce, placed Ilkum policy in and tossed down government plaza across river with merely 2 turns build time. Builders first for now.

Notice culture at cotton tile? To my much delight goddess of festival was still not picked, Goddess of Open Sky and that pantheon which gives faith for appeal on tiles are gone together with TheArchduke's choice for extra housing and amenties for holy sites along rivers.
Not bad to pick Goddess of Festival as last player, I would say so.

Next turn found 3rd city, builder from Eger shall improve stone and then go to new city to improve cotton for culture and extra gold. Builder from Buda repair horse tile, improve banana, deer and plain hill mine NW of city or harvest marsh is option.

As first governor, as I said previous post: Amani to Granada, after 5 turns suzerain it and levy its army. I did finish request for Granada, more envoys results in more and stronger city state units.
After 5 turns swap away Ilkum and place in Colonization policy for push settlers south and south-west. I just started scouting that areas now.

Turn 43:

Finished Bronze Working and to my delight there is a iron tile next Buda, next turn mine it already! Other iron is at south, more reason to push settlers there.

There is someone south of landbridge, a city state probably. But if it is one of human players, he is actually much closer my capital then TheArchduke and I might send swordsmen there instead.

Turn 46:

Saw borders of China in south at turn 44, so Scooter is quite close me. I delayed meeting upon purpose because at turn 46 I did levy Granada's units and then meet Scooter. This way Scooter don't know that I did levy units.

I did levy Granada's 2 warriors and 2 archers for 200 gold total. From now move to my land asap and then upgrade warriors into swordsmen and rush Scooter. His science and culture are bit behind however he got most civic.
Strike the iron hot before Scooter get swordsmen of his own.

I didn't finish iron working, 1 turn left to hide my intentions a bit more. Now Masonry (next turn boost with quarry in Eger), then beeline for machinery for very fast crossbowmen, need wheel (already boosted), engineering (need to build walls, another reason to research masonry now) and finally Machinery (need 3 archers, already got 2 thanks Granada and more soon when I suzerain/levy Antananaviro after 5 turns.

I did finish government plaza and early empire policy, both governor promotions went to Pingala, I picked culture per pop right now. When 1st tier government building is complete, use another governor promotion for Pingala for science per pop.

Suzeraining Granada means I can build Alcazar improvements, when appeal tile is very high, it grants 2 extra science besides usual 2 culture. I got some high appeal tiles for Buda and Eger. Need new builder for that.

Where Scooter is bit lacking in culture/science departement, TheArchduke is keeping up with me. I didn't understand his science first, 12 pop, that is 8,4 pop, plus some fissure tiles and palace. No campuses for TheArchduke yet. My conclusion is that the hole of roughly 4 science is filled by 2 city states somewhere and there isn't science city state nearby Scooter due his low science.

The map is becoming bit clearer, we all are at sort of butterfly map, 4 players bit close rain forested center and each player got 2 city states in backlines. Bandar Brunei is between TheArchduke and me, which means there should be city state between Scooter and Cornflakes who should sit somewhere in southwest corner.
The warrior close Chinese borders go east/ southeast to seek for city states where I can send potential support against Scooter.

Turn 48:

Cornflakes's scout stumbled upon my slinger, with this I met all civs.

Well, my military power which is triple of everyone makes it very obivious for everyone that I already did levy units.
Next turn harvest stone to speed up campus in Eger, then builder goes to Esztergom for improving another cotton tile. Builder in Buda just repaired horse pasture and he shall improve deer tile for housing and little more gold.
I plan to finish iron working at same time as Political Philosophy, at that moment 2 levied warriors should be around Buda, ready to upgrade.
TheArchduke's third city is hit by storm, that should slow down him a bit.

About Scooter then, he got lowest science and culture per turn and last to get 3rd city, probably a price for early Stonehenge.
I don't know about his civ 6 skills, but he did play many civ 4 multiplayer here at Realms Beyond. Also he is flanked by dedlurkers, especially Chevalier and Sullla (latter who did dedlurk Scooter in past civ 4 games).
China is nice economic civ, but walls and UU is underwhelming. I did beat China in PBEM 2, the danger for China is that you might be too absorbed into wonderbuilding and forget about other stuffs.

Cornflakes at other hand did show good game with Brazil in PBEM 11 and he did replace cheating mike in PBEM 7. Also creator of some maps for multiplayer at Realms Beyond.
So he is likely the one who knows civ 6 the best inside and outside of the game.
India is in my opinion average pick, mainly religious gameplay, UI for extra growth, extra war weariness is nasty but it is manageable. Varu is dangerous for levied swordsmen but levied crossbowmen rip Varu's apart, another reason for me to beeline crossbowmen.

Turn 50:

Finished campus in Eger and double promoted Pingala enters Buda, boosting both science and culture.

Next turn upgrade 2 levied warriors in Buda who did arrive this turn. This results in delay of levying units of Antanavarivo by 2 turns if it also have 2 warriors and 2 slingers.

I placed where I plan to fond 4th city. It grabs bananas in 2nd and 3rd ring for food/culture. Initial ring can use rainforest hill, I plan to chop that rainforest into monument and place 4 adjaceny campus there.
You can't place districts upon geometral fissures, but you can found cities there.

Buda produces settler for 4th city, after that Ancrestal Hall, if I am quick and using Danube production bonus, I might finish Ancrestal Hall before I settle, this way 4th city get free builder.
Eger produces a builder, I am thinking start placing Alcazar around and maybe chop a galley out with flatland forest. With Diplomatic League policy I can instant get 2 envoy for Nazca this way, put a bit pressure upon TheArchduke.
Esztergom need improved tiles to be efficent, so I assign building wall there for Egineering boost which leads to Machinery and Crossbowmen.
