Donovan seriously needs to learn how to "show, don't tell" with his armies. As in, don't "tell" in the poker sense, by showing them before he moves them into enemy borders. It's as if he's literally saying, like a Civ4 AI, "Ho ho ho, I now have a stack of Knights!" He did this earlier with Elkad, and then against Krill, and now again against Gavagai. Geez man.
The enemy should only see your units only after you've designed and committed to a plan of attack (or defense) in order to minimize their ability to react to it.

So with PB27 kicking off and everyone here playing over there as well, what's the over/under on how long before this game just gets called for .... Squirrel?

I really wish I had Commodore's RNG good fortune. He more than anyone else (to me anyway) seems to win those 50/50 fights. "Fortune favors the bold" indeed.

Heh, most people will complain about the bad luck and not mention the good stuff. This makes a nice change.

I agree. I think the frequency of his 50/50 wins is not by percentage so much as by volume. Commodore doesn't seem to view units as having value stored, existing as potential to accomplish a thing (conquest) and prevent another (invasion), but simply as value used, a commodity to feed to the sausage grinder however he can. Just units and bloodshed and a story by the fire.
Makes for a fun read, for sure.

So, Tasunke just gifted like 30 units to Donovan because a.) he lost his whole knight stack to Gavagai and b.) Commodore attacked him this turn from the back. The irony is that Donovan was going to attack him this turn too. Not that this kind of thing is out of character for this game, but its really beyond the line, IMHO. Should we force a reload?
