The one positive that can come out of that is that our WC might live this time around. The bad side is that whoever else was going after Paya will make sure they get it.
Unless the lack of the mod broke the game and makes a reload a necessity, we should not agree to do one. Something tells me we'll not be the only ones opposed to such an action though.

With an active war underway, I would be very reluctant to reload in any event. Unless, that is, the random seed on reload is disabled. I don't recall that setting. Still, I wouldn't necessarily trust a team at war to "remember" every move correctly, leading to animosity when a different outcome occurs. Best to avoid all this.

Turn rolled, so pretty much impossible to get it rolled back now, if someone would like to do that. Sadly, I can't connect to Hulkmusclor, so I will have to wait until he is logged out before getting any quickie report.
The Germans settled two new cities - Warendorf and Westheim - late last turn, however. Warendorf was by the settler that we saw earlier, so we already have visibility on the city. Not sure why they choose that spot, it mostly claims desert from what I can see, but there might be some goodie hiding in the fog. But I expect that to be a city we will let WPC take when the invasion of Germany comes.

Nothing of major interest to report. We get our GP - the Great Prophet Abu Bakr, Brick by Brick expanded borders, and so on.
Two things of minor interest:
That's two workers finishing a flood plains cottage 42 turns after the city was founded, and 28 turns after it expanded borders to claim the tile.
The Spanish units in the area moved to threaten the barb city that CivFr captured last turn. Will they start another war? Might be worth getting a message off to CivFr.
Pretty soon after the turn rolled Univers settled their twelfth city. I will present what we know about it later in the C&D thread.

We're going to be adversarial in our relationship with CivFr for the duration of this game because they are our most serious competition. I see no benefit to alerting them to any possible attack. What do we gain? Much better for the Spanish to do as they please and cause problems for others halfway around the world that will help us.

Odd, those borders are black again.
Perhaps they lost the city to another barb? That probably means no more war

We should be rooting against Spain declaring on CivFr at this time.
A 2 front war would be (faster) death to Spain, and more more formidable CFC and Frenchie teams.
I do think CFC is a strong competitor, especially if they can roll Spain with any kind of speed.

That city is definitely owned by barbarians again.
