[No players] Big epic lurking - PB74

I guess Plemo just didn't have enough cats / units. To be fair Tarkeel didn't show how many defenders they had last turn. That is a big deal.
Had enough cats, didn't have enough hitters. That's actually a pretty big problem, because now he doesn't have enough cats, or hitters, and Commodore is about to figure out that he can use galleons to pin Plemo back in his core and use knights to cover Tarkeel. Plemo will have to rebuild and reposition, so Com has the turns to do the same.
Comm has a path to first place in the next 20 turns.
Mig & Ginger's undeveloped (and unsettled!) land is kinda painful.
Also, am I wrong that an alpha strike to burn the border city of Atlantis would essentially cripple them?
I also was coming to here to comment on the horrific state of their land. You can tell they underbuilt workers. A dry rice colossus coast city should have been settled AGES ago. They have river tiles not cottaged still. They have some non river tiles which also probably should have been. I can tell they are worker short because their should have been some windmills built over mines before the GA and they are still mines at the end of it.
Edit: astronomy will also cripple them quite a bit.
I'm not sure what plemo is expecting Ramk to do here; if he says "sure it's possible your units just disappeared" does he expect them added back, or maybe a reload? That would likely cause Mt. Commodore to erupt...
He's hoping Ramk has an earlier save and can see the units and will worldbuilder them in to the current turn.
Dollars to donuts Plemo hit the disband button when someone was logging in and thought he was disbanding his scout and deleted those units himself.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.
Plemo lost his iron?

See SDs screenshot. Going after Tarkeel early had the consequence that SD got to settle Bandit Lords. Its a horrible reach of a city on flatland with long supply lines and easily attacked. However, its pretty good if you are 2 vs 1 the opponent in between. Edit To be fair its also a natural iron. Its just close enough that neither of us moved it, but it is a little far away.
The iron is even unsafe without BanditLords. - Bahamut has the tile northwest of the iron.
The Tarkeel expedition was a mistake - in hinsight. I'm not sure, but I think, SD is right - the two (tarkeel+SD) of them are strong enough to take Plemo down with them. - Add an invasion from Commodore ? I'm not sure, if Plemo will get help from the neighbours of SD and tarkeel. Commodore and Pin both want Tarkeel to remain as a puffer state. (Amica is not relevant any more). Picca has to remain cautions with Gav - and maybe even uses the "distration" for SD to attack Gav (with GT). But I think Picca has a higher chance to intervene. |
