[SPOILERS] Don't mention the war

Do we have gold? Shwed is pretty good I guess, we can use Pacifism and to a lesser extent Theocracy.

Serdoa is likely piling all wonders in his capital so if we have a good place to chop a few forests we should be able to beat him without too much difficulty.

We've good shot for SoZ. I should have it in 2T from Ardo and cultural value is my main reason for wanting it. Shewagdon is a harder one even if I want it more. More expensive and I don't have enough forests prechopped and I get gold from Rome in 4T. I really think it is good wonder for us. theocracy allows triple promoted archery units and early pasificm is also good to get our Prophet and subsequent great persons faster.

Well, the WW effect is pretty good considering you just got dogpiled. Not sure about putting it in a vulnerable border city like that though, it's not even on a hill. We are already going to keep almost all of its BFC.

It is vulnerable spot, but that city is really valuable to whole empire having 2 unique luxury resources. I really need to do my best keeping it under my control. Being culturally dominant is very important in achieving this. The WW side effect is nice, but less valuable.

Some further discussion with Serdoa. It looks like we're not going to be getting Paya frown.

Quote:to add on this (as I haven't gotten an answer): I still have my GE sitting around and I really would hate to use him next turn in our border city to build SoZ. Can't we find another solution than that? I mean I am happy if we keep the borders like they are right now. I want to keep my first ring to my west. Not to happy that I lost some worker-turns building a cottage but eh, wrong decision on my part to even build it. But I won't wait till I lose my first ring as well, not only would that make the city crap, it would defend its whole purpose (being a forward base, so that I can sleep a little bit better and have an easier time building up trust to you...).

Us:
Quote:Sorry I'm still thinking. Especially culture deal doesn't intrest me
much. I need to keep Ardo secured and I'll whatever it takes to keep
its BFC. If it means I need to run 3 artists to fight against SoZ
culture, I'll do it.

Serdoa:
Quote:Hey plako, lets be honest with each other. I am fine if you want to keep Ardos BFC, I can certainly understand that. So do I want to keep my inital 9 tiles around my city, I think something you can understand as well, right? Now, looking at what happened till now, you always popped your borders first, so it should not be an issue as the tiles you want to keep are for both of us second ring culture and you will always pour your culture into those tiles first if we keep the culture-rate equal in both cities. I am fine to guarantee you that game-long if you want and with an added clause that one is telling the other one if he intends to put another culture building in the cities in question. And of course a no artist-bomb clause and whatever else you can think of is needed to keep us both happy.

And with game-long I mean game-long. I won't use an artist bomb there if we ever go to war with each other. Though I don't intend to go to war with you anyway (but I'd like to use my engineer on Machinery and not SoZ, because there are others I would like to go to war with...), thats why I offered a NAP as well. As I said, I relly want us to be friendly to each other.

Us:
Quote:I'm again on my mobile so just quick answer. Your city is not that big
of an issue and I'm sure we can work things so that you keep 1st ring.
However TMIT settled his city so that I pretty much had to rush to
60% to keep the BFC.

Serdoa:
Quote:I'm fine with that plako, as long as we can keep it this way. Thats all I am fearing, that I am losing my first ring. Security, same as for you with your city.

Us:
Quote:Alright. In the name of openess I'll reveal some of my wonder plans that hopefully doesn't backfire. I'm going to try to build SoZ on Ardo and overall try to build some wonders on my border cities and I don't want to tie my hands in any of my borders. I don't have any culture deals and I think fair competition is the way to go. However I can promise that during our NAP I won't try to steal any tiles from your 1st ring and I'll be open concerning the amounts of culture I'm generating so you've better knowledge to plan your response. I think you should easily do alright. You've religion and Stonehenge. e.g. non-creative TMIT and WarriorKnight will have way harder time generating enough culture to keep their 1st rings.

If this is ok to you, I would be intrested in prolonging our NAP. Would something like T120 work for you?

Serdoa:
Quote:I am ok with both deals, but could you please consider if our NAP could be till T130? I sure you have the same issue as me, namely NAPs running out at the same time. Like you I don't want to tie myself forever, but at the same time want to make sure I am secure. Let me know what you think. If T130 is too late for you, maybe we can agree to a NAP till T120, to be prologned till T135 if no one cancels it by T110?

As for SoZ, I won't compete with you for it. And to show that I am willing to be open as well, I can tell you right away that you should not try to build the Paya, except for failgold. :-) Btw: With Org. Rel you should get 25% more failgold then simply building wealth, so if you want I can let you know in advance when I finish a wonder so that you can build it for failgold and know when to expect the money. Of course that only works if you guarantee not to compete for it and not tell others the finish date, otherwise I'd rather not tell you when I finish it wink Idea would be that I am openly tell you that I am going to build a wonder, you can tell me if we race for it or if you only want failgold and if you only want failgold I tell you the finish date.

Us:
Quote:T130 starts to be quite far. I'm ok with NAP until T120 that will automatically continue on T135 unless canceled on T110.

Concerning Paya. It would be pretty good wonder for me, but I don't have a realistic shot to compete against 200% multipliers, when I just have the 25% especially when I don't have Meditation yet. What would it cost, if you would leave Paya for me?

Going towards IW. I also need Calendar. I shortly considered trying to get Glib, but that is just too expensive without Marble and possibility that Serdoa snaps it with GE makes it too expensive. Epics would be good, but I think I take IW+calendar 1st.

I belive that every city needs a courthouse wink.
