BTW, Ceiliazul, I really like the way you designed that graph goodjob Will have to look into creating a similar one myself, once I manage to beat the underlying numbers into submission.

Currently doing a data mining of the graphs from APTmod. Man, that thing is tedious.

Continuing to spam the forum, this time based on my recent thoughts in the C&D thread, to wit, the possibility of CFC running three artists in their stupid city from T125.

Sadly, we didn't push for a clause that said the stone gift only held as long as they don't control their own source of stone, and long-term the city won't be able to hold out against the greater production and pop of Eastern Dealers and Starfall, but we need to make sure Eastern Dealers hits third-ring culture as soon as possible as well.

Ie, I think we should whip the theatres in Starfall and Eastern Dealers on T127. But Starfall won't hit third ring until T132 anyway, if I count correctly. I also think a monastery would make for an excellent building to whip overflow to the Globe as well there. Having one city able to build missionaries when we aren't in OR is nice, Starfall might need the culture, and missionaries are nice 2-pop whip targets.

The picture of Starfall was taken two turns ago, and yes, the Wealth build was to preserve overflow into a theatre. Obviously it's now my fault for not seeing into the future and realizing we would want a galley out of that city last week, before we had scouted out the polar region. No one asked to build a galley two turns ago, but second-guessing always sees things with 20/20 vision. Tough to win with this crowd sometimes.

I'm not entirely confident that those numbers add up as presented at Starfall, there's a lot of crossing out and edits in there, but I will give them a look.

I don't expect CFC to remain permanently in Caste System. At some point, they are going to pop back into Slavery to whip builds. I don't think they are running Artists in the stone border city either, at least not based on the rate at which their culture is accumulating on disputed tiles. We're also accumulating culture quite fast ourselves and will soon hit the 100 culture mark in both border cities. In the event that they would reclaim the stone tile, we should be able to cancel our stone trade. I don't see why we would be forced to send them a second stone resource if they had their own.

I'll work on the capital Taj plan today and try to incorporate it into what we're doing elsewhere. (I know that we have to make changes on this turn before ending it, but the game itself is down for the moment.) Remember as well that I can't spend 8 hours per day working on this game. I'm pushing the limits of how much I can be involved in a game like this without taking a toll on my personal commitments. Not every suggestion can make it into the game. We might be less than perfectly optimal somewhere at some time. I've been getting run ragged trying to get this Liberalism + Taj stuff into place over the past few days; I'm really hoping that we can lock a final plan into place and be done with the intense micro work.

The edits were due to the fact that I forgot the loss of GPP bonus once our golden age ends. Actual hammers might differ, but I think the outline should work.

Sorry, we missed a loophole in our agreement, in that there is no mechanism for what happens if they get control of a source of stone of their own.

First draft
Marble amendment

Yes, doing the forced artist play (which I think might happen once the city hits size 5) will be very underhanded, but it won't break the actual words in the agreement, though it turns the spirit of it into a pretzel.

Anyway, we will know once the stupid city hits size 5. I really hope they won't do anything like this, but I think we should be prepared for it.

I hear you on the workload, too. Having some more people stepping up and do things would help everyone here, and improve our quality of play.

We could always just declare war on CFC.

Sullla, thanks again for your effort, I said it several times but I really do appreciate it.

Regarding the stone, should we ever lose it to CFC, then I think we should simply cancel the gift. If they say something, we can point out that it is only reasonable and in the spirit of the agreement, regardless of its exact words and it will be all true.

Our winning strategy was so good we defeated even the game's host. lol

That looks like the ending to one of T-Hawk's marathon high score games where he had to kill a lot of the rivals on the final turn to vault himself way over the domination limit.

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

OK we are done with the current turn. The suggestions made in the planning thread (and in this thread) earlier have been incorporated into our larger sandbox and micro outline. Here's the minor changes for the current turn:

The capital dropped a grassland cottage tile for the plains hill mine, taking the city to exactly 149/150 production into a market for whipping purposes later. Focal Point then took over the vacated cottage tile, and Mansa's Muse took over the cottage that Focal Point dropped. The one tile that we stopped working was a relatively low priority non-river plains cottage tile, marked in white. Everything else stayed the same for this turn.

If you would like to view what the micro outline looks like, follow the link below. I'm planning to run through it one final time tomorrow to get a final save stack for anyone curious: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?...ring#gid=0

Oh, and one more thing. The in-game clock is running EXTREMELY slowly right now. It's ticking about 1 second for every 2 seconds of real world time. No idea what that's the case, everything in-game was loading and running much slower than usual when I logged in. We may want to raise this as an issue over at CFC, because in the 20 hours since the game was unpaused, only about 10 hours have actually run off the clock. Awesome. frown
