The author of the article wasn't sure why: favoring the underdog? Because he's seen as somewhat prickly and unapproachable? Because he's from a relatively small country, and people would rather root for their compatriots?

I thought of that article when reading this thread. You've played an excellent game, reported consistently and thoroughly (although, like Q, I can't see your pictures). It's draining to play in a game where you're contending with an alliance of players against you, and you've kept a remarkably even temper in that situation as it's gone on for a long time. Even though you aren't getting a lot of love in your thread and the lurker thread is relatively quiet, I hope it helps to know that there are people out there who are reading and appreciate your effort.

Thank you for the kind words. About the pictures:  Screenshot (459).png - does it open for you if you click? Same question to Q. I am sorry, I was going to get some fix earlier but was distracted by in-game events, thank you for the reminder.

Yes, clicking that link opens a screenshot.

Ok, great. I think the best I can do is to include direct links to my pictures in my reports alongside embedded pictures. This is not ideal, I understand, as it would require readers to make extra clicks but the only alternative for me to seek another host for my pictures. This is not something I can commit to for a number of reasons.

Edited direct links into my last report.

Hmm, the screenshots previously worked for me, at least, so I wonder why it's working for some people but not others. I might not post much, but I do appreciate the reporting and commentary.

What do you mean "previously"? Do they work right now?
I noticed they stopped working for some people when I moved to Russia for the summer, so it might be an artifact of all sorts of weird shit the Russian government is doing with the Internet. I do not quite get how it is possible because my screenshots are stored on Onedrive and, theoretically, me sharing them with you should not touch the Russian internet at all. But this is the only idea I have.
I will be moving back to New York in September, we will see how it will affect things.

Btw, I think I might lose Madras to Piccadilly next turn. This turn I got back the first ring of this city, as I said, and I moved out most of the defenders, leaving only four units because Piccadilly can make three morale knights. What I forgot about is that he can culture bomb Agra. Late-game culture bombs typically don't do shit but the balance there is so close he should be able to have just enough to get my first ring back. And after that, he will be able to hit the city with 12 knights and it will most surely fall.
Not that big of a deal. I have something like 60 percent of culture there to his 40, so the city should be in revolt for him and he should not be able to raze it. I will just take it back and only lose population and infrastructure. It might even be a decent trade for defusing his artist. Still, fucking annoying that I forgot it. I play four hours every day, this is like half of a workday for me. And still miss stuff.

On the bright side, Mig has been online for twenty minutes and there have been no score decreases for me yet. Fingers crossed.

Right now, both the in-line and direct link screenshots work for me. Previous to you adding the direct links, the in-line screenshots worked.

Best of luck with the move as well.

It might be my browser - I see them if I open your thread in incognito mode but not otherwise.
