Yeah, time to build some crossbows. I wouldn't build many more horsemen though, they are getting obsolete.

Well, we managed to plunder a barbarian camp just NW of Myrmidon.
Also Woden offered us 160 gold for our coffee which I accepted.
We could next turn upgrade 2 archers to xbows, expensive, but if need be, we can.
Oledavy positions more troops on our border, he is probably as scared of me as I am of him.

No money from Alhambram or Singaboy.
Woden supports me, Alhambram Oledavy.
And could Oledavy plan to attack me, or is he scared.
He upgraded some units this turn.
2 chariots, which can only mean knights.
But why attack me and DoF Singaboy? Puzzles me.

Mil power seems to update next turn, not this turn. Still below 300.
EDIT:
Screenie upon opening the game at work by the way. I think a DoW by Singa is unlikely as he will want to upgrade to Knights next turn.
I fear that any horseman in range of the encampment/crossbowmen by Oledavy are instadead. We should probably not position any of them there.

Note that with two generals, crossbows have almost as much melee strength as horsemen, the obscolence is very apparent now. Horsemen can only be used to pick off things which have been shot-up.
You must upgrade archers asap, you don't want to waste a turn. We also need a tactical plan for if he declares, and I think that plan must be burning the encampment. You need to have a horseman on the right side of the river south of the encampment, on the jungle tile belonging to Mykenes. This horse can hit the encampment in one move. Sun Tzu should go 2SW of Myrmidon, so that he gives his bonus to that horse. Then we can start with putting 2 crossbow bolts into the encampment, which at 55 will do some nice damage, and we should be able to burn the thing in one go, killing a crossbow to boot. In fact, we should have positioned to do this earlier, I just didn't think we have enough gold for two crossbows.
Striking first is really important, it's too bad our forces are kinda all over the place.

Yeah, we probably have to bite the bullet and upgrade 2 guys the expensive way if we want to survive.
Although the knights worry me even a bit more then the xbowmen, but with 2 ggs our xbowmen should be nasty customers indeed.
From the internet it seems GG doubleboost indeed. Never done it in SP.

I'm not sure we will be in time, if he upgrades next turn. The troops are just too far west, we really need more pressure on the encampment, unless you have another horse around Mykenes, the horse can't get onto that jungle tile in time.
Units can't move and upgrade, right? Fuck. Somehow we knew this war is coming on t104 for twenty turns and nothing is in position. It's pretty difficult even just to get archers onto tiles where they can safely upgrade. And the only guy we do have in position is promotionless.
So what do we do, do we upgrade the promotionless Archer right now, so that he can at least start firing at the encampment? I guess we have to, if we couldn't be bothered to bring the double-promoted Archer to the theatre, we are just gonna have to eat that. We upgrade the Archer at Myrmidon, bring another Archer onto the commercial hub, put the horse from the commercial hub on the road SW of the mine. Bring the double-promoted Archer to 1SW of commercial hub, together with El Cid. Vacate that spot by sending the horse 3SE, looking to cross the river next turn. Sun Tzu stays. Send another horse to try and find that horseman that appears on T103 screenshot, last thing we want is for him to start pillaging stuff.
Next turn, Davy will start operations in the north. We are lucky that it's the north, he is overconfident about the safety of his encampment it seems. He won't have enough move to approach our encampment and attack it, so that's something, he'll just move up, and we take an encampment shot. We move a crossbow to myrmidon, it fires on his encampment. Second crossbow upgraded on the commercial hub. Sun Tzu moves to the tile 1SW of the mine. Southern horse crosses river onto the opportune tile.
Next turn, our encampment probably falls, but at least he'll take some damage. Our turn -- Myrmidon crossbow fires on enemy encampment, commercial hub crossbow steps up onto the mine and fires there as well, two horses come out onto the farms to give flanking bonus and bring a ram, southern horse hits out of the jungle. If this isn't enough, some horses will die, but his encampment still falls next turn.
After that it's a stalemate.
At least that's some sort of plan, I'm not sure it best, but it brings up some pertinent issues -- namely archer positioning, upgrade sequence, his likely plans, etc.

Just saw your post in org thread-- are we still in T104? That makes things better, he will upgrade T105, move up T106, our encampment falls T107. If we upgrade first crossbow now, move horse to rice, fire on T105, cross river, double-fire on T106, attack the encampment. On T107 we could reposition and already start firing at knights, that means we can try to delay his taking of the encampment just by a turn by throwing fodder in his way.

We are still in turn 104.
I must admit I was not sure if we would have war with Oledavy, as especially with our GGs, Singaboy is the much better target.
To be honest I am not that pessimistic about our chances, I do agree though, we will upgrade this turn.

I still think Oledavy attacking me is a stupid idea, I am by far more capable to defend myself with walls, 2 ggs and other stuff then Singaboy.
Not sure what he is thinking..
I may be wrong.
This time I think more units will die then one each.
