Eager to see the fireworks on t130 too
As for OB, it may be worthwhile to not sign one again until we've adopted Theology. The team has shown their intentions with the missionary -- would waiting until we are assured of them not spreading their religion to our cities be prudent? Scooter may ne the best judge of that since he's handling the communications

Theocracy does not stop missionaries, foreign or otherwise, from spreading their religion. It only affects natural spread.

If Civplayers is serious about getting us Buddhism for reduced Espionage costs and AP shenanigans, they might consider it worthwhile to pay another civ to surreptitiously spread it to us with a gifted missionary. Germans could easily do that in one turn with that dopey city they planted.

Is this right? Pretty sure it's the other way around - Theocracy blocks foreign missionaries (not domestic), but does not affect natural random spread.

according to the in game description and civilopedia, it blocks ALL non-state religon spreads... which sounds to me like natural spreads and missionaries.

Unless the game rule changes for human/human interaction, theocracy blocks missionary spreads at the very least - ton of SP games see me having to knock an AI out of theocracy to cheese out the AP win and finish the game already.

Pretty sure you can use your own missionaries to spread non-state religions. Like one of the exploits to cheese an AP win is to gift the missionary to someone. Oooh, this looks useful. Make on thoughts about the fact that I was in Theocracy!

yeah... I seem to remember not being able to do that a long time ago in vanilla, but in bts I am able to spread non-state religions in my own territory. but it definitely protects against foreign missionaries!

New turn!
The barb axe in the south suicided against Lew (who only took moderate damage (one hit and down to 4.1/5), so we can settle fur city safely. I did the worker micro and settler moves in the area, since we have that CivPlayers chariot down there. The workers are covered with the WC, and Lew covers the settler.
No new techs for Apolyton or CFC. CFC adopted Slavery and OR again.
An annoying jungle growth next to Eastern Dealers - luckily the tile was already roaded.
I think CFC performed a settler whip in Lakshmi, and I now note that the APTmod seems to make errors in the espionage values, or maybe it did so earlier but not now (early on, support city revolt was reported on the line for steal technology, but this seems to not be the case anymore). Thus there might be systematic errors in the latest set of production tracking values.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width
