I can't see why they are making the concession of moving a city, considering that they are negotiating to give copper to a civ that has none and is next to aggressive Rome ! That seems like the most powerful bargaining position possible in a game like this with no tech trading.

Perhaps they feel the diplomatic benefits of moving it outweigh the downside of moving the city. I'd agree that they certainly shouldn't HAVE to do that, as Korea's situation is desperate enough they'd almost have to take any even marginally reasonable offer at this point.

I agree. It seems they are trying to earn back some diplomatic favor.

Wow, that was a rather brief and strange affair... Whosit needlessly sacrificed his credibility and gained absolutely nothing in return. -_-'

However, I'm quite surprised at how well A/K got him to make peace.

Not really: I think they have recognised their strategic need to prop up Korea against Rome. The longer Korea can hold off Rome the better for HRE (who would be next in line for a Roman attack).

While that is true they don't commit themself really to it.
Talking about making some Axes for themself then making one/two for Korea and marching them overland means at the time they arrive Korea has a nice purple color and good ol' Shaka as a leader.

These are two completely different things.

The "misclick-trick" is a lie. Lies are allowed.

The "mistimed-whip" is either within the rules or not within the rules.

The whip issue appears to be one that, in other similar games as far as I can gather, was allowed. My opinion is to uphold the whip since rules established for this game were not specific in these regards. Without specific rules, the status quo should be considered acceptable.

What do those here think of the fact that Korea seems to be researching sailing to escape to the copper island? I think they're crazy and should be spamming units and begging allies for help with all their energy!

Korea has identified the threat a long time ago but hasn't really prepared for a full-scale attack. I think they're playing to win, if they spam units they'll survive but tank their economy and expansion. I guess they're hoping for a miracle to survive short-term. Who knows, the situation may still be resolved diplomatically, given Whosit's erratic leadership.

Of course, I fully agree with the copper city, as I suggested it myself earlier in this thread wink

Not a bad idea by Kathlete to trade horse archers for workers after finishing off Byzantium. But I still think actually capturing Athens will have a large opportunity cost.

Would it be better to just keep pillaging and try to stop any settlers from escaping, and not bother with researching horseback riding and building more military now?

On the other side of the world, doesn't Korea plan to complain more internationally about the NAP violation? Are they going to let it slide just because Whosit belatedly came to his senses?
