Hell, I even blame the mapmaker when I was the mapmaker. But blaming me is quickly catching on.
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23

Well that's just best practice.

Mapmaker's preference was the voted majority. Commodore later indicated:

Which we then proceeded to vote on, for some reason. The majority sits with mapmakers call (random, no auto-lose starts), so if we end up with toroid /small / lakes it'll still be valid.

I'm ignoring everyone and going with a map I rolled. Checking over starts, etc, ought to send it to my checkers by the end of the evening.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
