[NO PLAYERS] The Kibitzer Klub: PB13 Map & Lurkers

Obviously Mackoti has this won now, and it looks like most of the remaining players know it. It's a shame that what was almost certainly the game-deciding war was hardly documented by either participant.

Mackoti is in the driver's seat but this game isn't over yet. With so many players remaining there will surely be a good deal of consolidation along the way, with chances for people to gain ground. And depending on what Mackoti's remaining neighbors do they could make further conquest very difficult, or make defending his existing borders difficult. Lots of players means lots of ways for the game to go off the rails for whoever is leading.

With that said, if there's ever a player you don't want to play catch up to, it's Mack. Good luck with hoping he makes a big mistake, it's probably not happening.

Mackoti is so obviously in a commanding position, you don't think there's a chance that some of the other big dogs both target him? Plako/Finharry/Dtay could make his life a bit more difficult.

I'm sure a dogpile by the remaining civilizations could set Mack back, but I don't see anyone realistically catching up with him for a few reasons:

* No diplomacy means the idea of coalition of teams pulling off a coordinated assault is fanciful at best.

* Mack has significantly more land available to him than any other civilization, and his remaining immediate neighbors are not particularly powerful. By comparison, to reach a comparable position Dtay still needs to finish off Jowy and Plako must take out Dhalphir. There is little reason to believe either conflict with go as smoothly or expeditiously as the elimination of Mostly Harmless. Meanwhile, the Grudge Continent is full of competent players who are caught in the Catch-22 of having to eliminate each other to have a chance of keeping pace with Mack, but who can't commit themselves to total warfare without being economically crippled.

* Mackoti is almost unquestionably the best Civ player on RB, and his most competent opposition doesn't even share the same landmass.

FinHarry is already planning something. I'm not sure how realistic it is, it should be interesting.

Is there a good picture of Colossus city and neighborhood anywhere? I think Ichabod and Plako should be planning to raze it if they want a chance...

Nakor doesn't seem to be taking into account that he's trading with one of the top dogs and that those deals all probably help Mackoti more than they help him. That would have been a good time to renegotiate for better terms on both the happy resource deal and the open borders. I mean, if you're going to help out the front runner you may as well try to do better than the deals he just struck. I'm sure Mackoti would have paid gold for open borders and for the resources.

Obviously you're concerned that he might try to snipe Valiants, hence swapping to archer just in case. Is a single galley load a credible attack at this stage of the game, or do you think he has more here? If so, would it seem like a good move if the situation were reversed? If not, where else might it be going?

Zed-F I think you are stepping out of bounds here.

Zed, if you wanna ded-lurk them, just ded-lurk them. Some of your posts in their thread are really close to the line, not just this one but others as well. Careful not to lead the witness, counselor.

I guess I will have to do that next game they are in. I didn't think it would be possible at this point.
As far as whether that post is leading the witness... perhaps it could be looked at that way. It does appear that different people have different ideas of just where the line is, though. lol I've pared it down, hopefully that's better.
