Yes, to us Americans "church" has the connotation of prohibition of alcohol and teetotaling. I would never think to connect "brewing" with "church." But if you all insist that that's how y'all do things in Europe...

And I could see a "church garden" being a thing (usually less so in America, where a lot of our churches either look like strip malls or mega-mansion monstrosities).
