Mjmd got Vicky so i guess ill take cyrus.
In case someone pick him, i would go charlemange (Pro/Imp) or Catherine (Cre/Imp)

Superdeath also took Darius as i thought i would do if i would have picked Holly Rome.
So Lets get the Cyrus picked!
Cyrus works! This will be interesting, but I want to see if we can master the whip as is once again possible with CtH. I'll read some of the threads I sent earlier and try to see what kinds of strategies people have used in the past for our pick.

I read the commodore's one and he didnt make a khesiks run, he used the gers to get huge knights and then destroyed superdeath. Im reading now PB19 of TBS but im still on the page 4 so i cant say much about it. I ll start simming now. But seems to me that agri>ah are the right way to play, then mining and bw. And the first move for the scout seem to be 1 north of the sheep. I pretend to play with you this game so ill try to be as detailed as i can, any question or advice will always take on count. So if i start doting the map and everything ill expect your opinion, nothing will be definitely settled until you give me an okey, if that fit with what you had planned for this game. I ll try to squeeze your knowledge as much as possible. Also about micro, since ive never done, i m learning from reading threads (but reading is easy, planning is not xD). So get in this game as deep as you want!
So this is been the Snake pick for this game:
So i want to post my thoughts about this Picks, but correct me General. Naufragar Augustus (Cre/Org) of Spain: Spain looks really god to me, but i think Pro fits much better with citadels and its still better than Org i think. Maybe Gilga was a better choice if he wanted to be Cre. Ruff hi: Hannibal (Fin/Cha) of Japan, japan is really fun to play, the tataras and samurais would be awesome with Agr or Ind i believe. Eventhough Hannibal is a great eco lid and cheaper promotions. Miguelito: Justinian (Spi/Imp) of Byzantine, I guess the cataphract rush, with cheapers stable and changing of civics ad infinitum. MrCairo: Ragnar (Fin/Agr) of England, Obv pick to reach into Rifling as soon as posible and get Redcoats with force promoted. Gira: Pericles (Cre/Phi) of Russia, Knowing Gira i guess he wanted Cre as i wanted to dot easier the map, the Phi trait would give him some easier bulbs or GoldAge to catch his cossacs, But im not sure if he will get into them, maybe Pindicator's help is the key. Maybe a good neighbour to see. ElGrillo: Charlemagne (Imp/Pro) of Khemer, Imp would give cheaper stables and with their phants would make sense, also Pro is the second best eco trait, being Vicky already picked it might make sense. Scooter: Gandhi (Phi/Spi) of Korea, I guess he is going as a Full techer, the Hwacha would help him to defend himselfe from early agresions and his seowons will allow him to get lib first. Also all the GP will help him to that purpose. Superdeath: Darius (Fin/Org) of Holly Rome, I guess he will go to expand as fast as possible then rathous everything and tech engeneering for landsknecht. But i feel that pick a bit safe pick and not as Agro as he is usually picking. Elkad: Washington (Cha/Exp) of Maya, Tooooooons of happy and some help with granaries and stuff, it would be a nice combo for an early game that could make a good late game happen. Mjmd: Vicky (Fin/Imp) of India, It seems he is more confy in a economic way, like in PB52 or how he should have played PB51 instead of Axe rush superdeath xD. I guess he would be a nice neighbour to have.
I'll try to start simming our start. Worker first is obvious, probably agriculture first, but i'll examine our options.

If its not too bothering it would be nice to know what were your thinkings in all the things you try out. Im always roading forest and hills so i dont lose more time in the future, but im seeing ppl just dont mind so they can start faster snowballing eventhough you lose some turns in the future. Im really not use to that, but i ll try. I read all threads you just showed me some post before. this are my conclusions: Commodore in PB46: Dont bother in using keshiks if you can still expand and grow. You can use the gers to build knights and cabalry too so no problem. Also using some keshiks for destroying some resources coz of movility. TBS in PB19: This thread has been really instructive, In his last post he said that the win condition was picking SH early and also Budhishm and of couse the land that pindi should have settled. In this game he didnt took HBR till 140ish so still no hurry on keshiks either. Im still amazed of his 1 turn SH, broke my mind. JR4 in PB37: This thread has been sooooo instructive and time consuming (145 pages xDD) RefSteel and his micro is just so beyond of my knowledge. For being honest after the first 80 pages my reading started to stop being as conscient and deep, i guess you could imagine xD. Alhazard in PB44: This might be the less detailed but the most bloody, in this game we finally got constraigned and war! he started with charriots and then keshiks. Of course there is improving a mine with a railroad, but that's very late in the game.

I'd say that for this start, we probably don't need very many roads

We probably want to go worker first, then warrior, and tech agri then animal husbandry. After that, mining and bronze working. I am trying to see whether growing to size 3 or getting another worker is better - I think it's best to choose the second worker.

Either way, i thought already that would be the tech path even though we might change of mind while exploring and wanting to settle the next cities, we might need something to pop up so it might be nice to get SH if posible. But with cha we got 100% to monuments so maybe we could just build them if needed. |
