Played as well since start, HC, died 4 times or so at the start (2 of those from being tilted by the first 2...). All at the first node, so not really much time lost. Lvl 42 or 43 now, but looking at the ladder I'm clearly not knowing what I am doing. Oh well, time for bed in any case now. I think this will be fun for a time, but I can already feel me getting tunnel-vision (pun not intended)... there just is really nothing differentiating one node from the next.
Also found my first boss already, dropped Cerberus Limb. Not sure my summoner can do anything with that, but maybe I have some idea what to play - should be pretty quick to level anything up to 70 if you don't die before and as soon as you can stock up on a few good items for the leveling-phase till there.

- starting swords for more frenzy charges or starting daggers for more crit?
- is Ice Bite going to be worth running with all those frenzy charges?
- is picking up the cold conversion nodes by the ranger start worth it for some freeze/chill?
1) I guess I would have voted for frenzy charges. Being faster is certainly more important than some crit I'd think, at least early on.
2) I don't think Ice Bite is worth it. Not sure what links you are running though
3) I'd assume they are worth picking up. Freeze / Chill should be great and if you combine it later with Crits you should be very safe.

Oh yeah, i died twice at the first node before i realized molten strike was a bad way to start. Freezing pulse and surrounded led to the next death, and then finally I got it.
Right now I'm running for supports: Infused Channeling + Phys to Lightning + Inspiration + Added Fire + Ice BIte
But I have Conc Effect and Energy Leach to potentially swap in for the ice bite.
Using Herald of Ash & Purity for my auras right now. Someone on reddit had the great idea of linking Blind support to Herald of Purity so I've got that for extra defense.

Well, if you go for the cold conversion (call of the brotherhood would be good there IIRC) or if you can get enough mana reg. / enduring mana flask and add Skitterbots for the chill or if you have some other way to chill enemies reliably you could use Hypothermia. I always forget that gem exists because it isn't shown in POB as a viable link till you click "Enemy is chilled" in the config. That should be better than Conc.Effect just because it does not decrease your area which should be a good thing for the nodes themselves, though maybe irrelevant for the tunnels.
I think Hypothermia + Energy Leech and get rid of Ice Bite could work out well. Frenzy generation shouldn't be an issue for you right now I'd assume?

Well, I found the flaw in my build. Using Eldritch Battery for mana means that Arcane Surge and Inspiration Support become useless ... so I scrapped that and decided to run to Charisma to be able to run a third aura. It's working all right. I'll have to give skitterbots + hypothermia a shot, but I am not sure if that's going to be better than Zealotry + Inspiration Support. Now I'm considering just scrapping all the nodes south of the ranger start and reworking my start to go straight to Charisma. I would get 17 points to move around, but I would have to make up 47% life and lose out on Wind Dancer & 5% dodge.
Did ditch Ice Bite after using it a little bit, it clearly was subpar to other supports. And I've managed to find decent enough caster weapon/shield that I have ditched the starting swords/daggers. Delving down to 128 last night, let's see how far I get today.

Not bad
Instead of my Summoner I had started a Berserker-Earthshatter char. Died with lvl 55 on a pack of 2 rares and 2 blue packs all on top of each other behind a chokepoint. Didn't even see it coming, just walked in -> Dead.
Oh well, lets see if I can get myself motivated to play again before Flashback. Not sure I have much motivation outside the weekend to play HC. Maybe if my company follows the lockdown here in Germany and sends us all into Home Office.

You have my respect for playing Hardcore. I have too many disconnection issues (my laptop Wifi adaptor is hot garbage), and on top of it I just get too frustrated with perma-death. But I have tons of respect for the people who can make it work.
I got to depth 150 and its slowed a ton for me. Starting to feel very squishy, and part of that is that I haven't found any armor to upgrade Tabula from. I just pushed to level 90 and I might leave it there. I'd like to try for depth 200 by the end of the event, but it may just be good to take a break from it until Flashback league starts too.

Yeah, haven't played for a few days now because I felt like something is missing for me to really enjoy it. Together with quite a bit of work at my job I really did not find motivation to go at it again. I think it has mostly to do with it just being Delve... like, there is nothing special, except that you play with one hand tied to your back (no crafting, no Pantheons).
I also am not quite sure if I will play Flashback much, if at all. It seems like Heist league with some small bonus stuff on the map, but nothing special. And I don't have a char I'd want to play right now. Maybe to try some things for the next league out, we'll see.

My brother talked me into Heist flashback and we both have to play some kind of offbeat summoner build. Playing weird summon builds has been our thing for a while, back when I was making the old Dominating Blow into a build with Wideswing and Melee Splash. I'm thinking Champion Animate Weapon with Dominating Blow + Herald of Purity, and Impale Support + Brutality on everything.
EDIT: I think he's going for Elementalist and as many copies of Chaos Golem as he can get.

And that would be some sort of triggered Animate Weapon cast? I don't see how you'd manually summon the weapons if you're playing champion.
I'm not playing Flashback, going to go back to my regular Heisting to the extent that I do play and I'll finish my remaining eight challenges to get the cat.

Yeah, i need to think on it more. Probably can focus on one of dominating blow OR animate weapon.
I'm also looking at General's Cry and wondering if there's some minion shenanigans that I can do with that.
