Crap. Good catch, will try to fix, on phone now.

General:
Enlarged some islands to make more pre-astro passages and ensuring no one-tile islands
Lessened the ice-belt somewhat
Moved and added strategics for all starts; I've not done anything to marble.
Distances:
A-B is 11+2 with a jungle belt inbetween
D-E is 16+4 with a desert and most of the good land on D's side

Start A/3:
Native Lux: Ivory, Gold, Silk, Sugar

Added some (contested) food in the jungle; pigs are the midpoint towards B/4.
Might need some more seafood for the southern islands?

Start B/4:
Native Lux: Furs, Spices, Silks, Incense

Add some seafood on the northern coast?

Start C/1:
Native Lux: Ivory, Furs, Silver, Gold, Whales

Added some food on the southern peninsula; note the jungled pigs without marker.

Start D/2:
Native Lux: Ivory, Gems, Dyes, Wines, Spices, Silver(?), Furs (?)

Thinking of removing the far north furs and silver.

Start E/5:
Native Lux: Silver, Incense, Spices, Wines

Loosened up the northern desert somewhat.

South-Central Orphan Islands:

All the starts have access to the area, but start C probably has an advantage.
Shrink the lake to freshwater status?

Oceana getting the inner sea turned to lake would be good. I'd also make that linking peak between Starts 1 and 4 into a flatland instead, let it be a city site.

Yeah, that sounds good. Will make it two tiles though.

In general, I've been trying to keep the number of edits down on this one.

That peak shouldn't necessarily be changed, there's already been discussion about settling overseas for the fish affecting starting moves. If it is left as a peak then they can fight over it with culture for vision.

+1 to the inland sea being a lake though.

Other than that looks fine. Any problems are the challenge, right?

Still think that Start D/2 should lose the far away silver and furs to have lux in line with the other starts.
Start B/4 could use a crab/clam on either side of the bay, feeding the oil and incense cities, but I guess it's in line with making this a bad start.
I think the peak is good, as it provides some defense/buffer against the super start.

Going to shrink the oceania lake and remove the surplus lux at D/2 and then the map should be ready to go.

Final map:

I've gone through and checked that techs and locations are according to Scooter's summary post.

Yuri's start was the unnerfed version, and signs have now been removed:

I can't believe you put a start as isolated. Probably the map should have been one continent, but I just completely discounted that idea as possible, and I think I was right to. It added an extra element that no one could have known when picking.
