Does anyone know the formula or number of EP's to figure out how many are needed to view someones demographics?

check the espionage screen with ctrll + e. there is a table where you can see how many eps you need to see demos, research, cities etc.

Sorry I forgot to stipulate it needs to be without having made contact with a certain Civ ......

(Would it be the same as other civs in the game or does it vary civ to civ? (In the beginning I mean))

Well it always depends on how many eps the opposing civ spends against you, but in general it is the same amount. And control e will always show you the exact amount depending on how much you spent and they did.

Quick update:

Jowy declared war and razed on of my cities. Actually a good thing, since i have been plotting his destruction for over a month now and this gives me free reign to kill any sentries that might spot my stack O' doom headed for his capital.

Beelining Construction as a backup plan, kinda got my eggs all out on the table though. Hope this works!

Here's what's been going on,



I decided to go to war with jowy about a month ago, since his territory seemed to be extremely close to mine. (Later i found out it is about standard except for the extraordinarily large land space between kyan and his two neighbours.

Anywho, My Army has finally arrived at Jowy's capital's outskirts, to find it defended by 2 spears an axe and a warrior. I believe he has at least 1 but possibly two chariots out and about. I have 4 axes 3 chariots and 2 spears. I have a further 2 chariots and an axe headed for the probably location of his second city.

The demographic screen shows that I have about 36000 More soldier points than Jowy does, so I'm feeling pretty good about that. He does have 60% culture in his capital, but its not on a hill which is fortunate.

I figure since I can't guarentee being available between turns, it might be best if I left the plan a little loose and let you use your best judgementrather than give out specific instructions. What do you think?

Game Situation

I have a 50 turn NAP with Jowy from 5 turns ago due to a failed war that's kinda put me in last place.

Cities are fairly undeveloped but I have a bunch of workers getting that fixed. Main plan right now is push out cities and workers and try to get some economy going and get back in the game. We do have a decent amount of land to expand into.

There is an open land settlement between me and Kyan, I'm waiting on the pictures of his half the land so we can dotmap it and settle on a border.
