Why not use the rule of whoever reached the final number of votes first gets lynched?

Hmm. Shouldnt it be the first person to reach the lynch tally that has lynch priority? AKA, the challenger has to one up him?

Yeah, that works.
If you know what I mean.

Ah, I misread it. Yea ... final tally of votes first. (as in, first to get to it ...)

So if X gets 7 votes, then reduces to 5 and Y gets 7, then if X gets 7 again, X is lynched. (assuming both now tied at 7)

I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking Y would get lynched in that case.

Ah. I think that is a horrible idea.

I mean hell, last minute switches are bad enough. lol

It's doable in a small game like AITP but I would NEVER use that in any game I run because, in reality, I make enough votecount errors that it'd be worse than random.

We could always just run Hammer vote system. Day ends when a candidate reaches half of the total votes. Then you never have to worry about tie breaking.

ah yes ... vote counts in absentia, et al. I can see how a rule like this would be terribly hard to host. ^_^
