How did a metagame evolve where someone can publicly vig-kill scum in the middle of the day and it nets him a strong vote push?

I think that it has basically got to the point that pretty much all actions that net a strong pro-town result must be made by scum because its the perfect thing for them to gain deep cover.
Its ludicrous yet not totally illogical.

Can you expand why bigger annoys you I don't see him doing much.
If Tasunke is going to act like this every game it might be a good idea just to kill him day one time to time and hope the power-roles can dig up dirt.
Commodre, there was a very high chance that Tasunke would get lyched anyway so shooting does not prove he is a villager. So it is possible for him to be pushed. I have not been following this game aggersively enough to see if that is good though...

Do u mean to say that as a rule people should just kill me outright? (at least, "time to time" as you say)
Edit: then, perhaps I should be glad that the next WW game I will be hosting rather than playing

Bit about me more emotional as town is BS as well - my biggest meltdowns were in 6 & 7 and both times I was scum. More accurately I have managed to curb my temper mostly because I'm not going thru a divorce and taking it out on all of you anymore. Just so happens I don't play that often and the last 2x I have, I rolled scum.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Its just arrogance primarily. I've rolled scum 5 times and I don't think we ever have talked about setting someone up for a mislynch other than "X seems lynchable." We've talked about liking a certain player whose reads are off to stay alive as a town leader, but to plot and scheme to mislynch someone on day one? Crazy.
More than that I'm annoyed in the same way Q gets annoyed with Serdoa. He dumb-lucked into a scum read on me in this game being right and it just inflates his ego that he somehow gets me. There literally was no difference in how I played this game vs. how I normally play as village because I never intended to last until the end here - we had discussed bussing me because I hate playing scum from pretty much the first post in the scum thread. That took all the pressure off and I just relaxed and made reads in the thread like I didn't know who my teammates were. Zak was on me but like he said, he's always on me - that's a function of our respective personalities, not my specific play.
Anyway, this is really just me responding to Bigger's tone in the same way I respond to zak's or zak responds to Serdoa's or everyone responds to Rowain's so I should stop pissing about and just accept I need to treat Bigger the way I treat the other players whose playstyle doesn't mesh well with mine.
