Yeah that is a shameful tile to ignore for long. I'll give this a 2nd thought. The main weakness of early Fish food is that settler would be delayed ~4-5T while building WB. Also researching Fishing would mean that Wheel or Meditation would need to be postponed.

It seems I'm less laconic than promised. I'm even writing my micro plans down .
Going through the alternative of WB after worker and it feels pretty good. This means postponing Meditation and hoping to land Buddhism on 2nd city. This delays settler 3T.
Tech path:
Fishing (T7)-Hunting(T16)-Wheel(T26)-Meditation(~T36)
Capital builds:
Worker (T15) -WB (T26, grow to 3)-Settler (T34)
Worker duties:
Corn-Cows-Mine-road towards 2nd city
Goals in capital are to grow to size 2 in 7T after Worker and size 3 in 4T after that and finishing WB in the same time turn. Minimizing food and maxing hammer overflow when growing to size 3T might be good idea since we would stagnate there for a while. Settler is easy to finish in 8T. I tried to find a way to do it in 7T, but it ends up 1 hammer short so this does not require tight MM. Nevertheless starting from T16 capital citizen should utilize:
Cows, grassland forest, 2*plains forest, Corn*3 - Grow 2 - and after this corn+plains forest until cows are online

This is strange. We've tundra in the west. I'm starting to wonder if Brick has fooled us and this isn't B&S after all.

Hrm, that is some really shitty land over there. Hopefully there is another food resource in the southwest. Otherwise you may need to split off the fish.

yeah. It seems awful now, but there are quite a few fogged tiles still there. I'll check them later, but now scouts main task is to defog as many land tiles as possible i.e. search huts.

If it hasn't been clear so far from my past games. I'm constantly changing my mind. Now I'm questioning the wisdom of going for Religion after Wheel and if grabbing Pottery would be better. I could then start with Granary on 2nd city and start planting cottages.
Little opponent analysis time. I've started to do some scouting i.e. checked some spoiler threads of other ongoing games. Preliminarily we've 5 winner candidates: SerdoaSpirits, YuriMack, Pindicooter, Commodore and Bigwyn. All these teams have experienced and proven players that don't have too big weaknesses. Any team having SevenSpirits actively participating will be biggest winner candidate especially when they've very solid Mansa Musa as a leader. Yuris is not itself winner candidate, but Mackoti really can carry that team to Pyramids (Win). Other teams in the winner candidate list are a bit less likely to win, but still overall very solid contenders. I'll add a new name to the serious contender list from PB11 game.

Hi there. I hope you don't mind me stealing some of your ancient wisdom.
There seems to be serious lack of food in this neighborhood.
Animals start to appear soon. I need to start to pick my landing spots based on their defensive value.

Hut gave 33 gold. Plains cows came up west from capital. Marble NW from gold. Still very few food resources.
