Mardoc never played much BTS to begin with.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)

It's weird, though, he's taking his lessons from PBEM 52 to heart in his new FFH game, slaving and chopping to great effect even with the nerfs. Queeg should be panicking at this point, player he's dedlurking is chasing Judaism while slowbuilding a settler and running out of stuff to do...it's Kuronian. *wince*
Elsewhere, Jowy makes an absurdly early Stonehenge, thestick gets oddly pressured by just a single warrior, and Bob is powering on to more and more culture power...yep, this is a fairly balanced game.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out. That might be the best developed city I've ever seen in 2000BC! If only it could work even half of those cottages... ![]() ![]() The good news for Mardoc: his capital is still in better shape than Bob's capital. Why are so many players still sitting with just their capital on Quick Turn 30 / Normal Turn 45? That's awful late for a second city, right?
Actually, Mycandy, Bob's capital shows quite a lot of worker labor as well, in the form of chopped-down trees.
He's pushing waaay too hard on the Oracle thing and a holy capital is almost always a screw-up, but the farmed sheep was a good catch.

Is Jowy's Stonehenge really so early? He got his second city out first and he is Ind/char. It'll start paying back immediately too, because that second city wants a border pop for the wheat. His second city is a bit far away, but that's probably worth it for the pigs, everything else around him is 4f tiles. he should have an immediate trade connection due to coast too? He looks to be in reasonable shape to me.
It looks like thestick > Jowy >> Bob > Mardoc to me, not enough info on Demon Lord Sian. Looking at Bob's opening, he's had to farm the sheep, then went and put most of a chop into a warrior before farming his Rice. I guess that's why he's so slow, though he did found his city the turn after that Mike's screenshot ![]() (December 31st, 2013, 18:20)Mardoc Wrote: [...] ![]() In other news, thestick is pretty solidly in the lead it looks like, with Mardoc hating foodhammers and Jowy/Bob sinking hammers into wonders. Chasing shiny: not usually worth it. Worth it less the earlier you are.
