He has an insanely good defensive terrain layout, and about 5 cats I will be able to do little about without exposing myself to them :/

Bad news and good news - he must have just got engineering as he was able to hit me where I stood. Good news is the battles went quite favourably. I got a GG and positioned things for a move in.

Turn after he managed to get a GG in his front city and sprinkle for formation on a few Knights. I was pretty dispondant over this, but killed the GG at like 5-10% odds. Feel really guilty about that. However that meant I managed to take the city loosing only a few more Knights. I then was able to use my morale knight to zoom and take his southern front city guarded only by and axe and killing a galley. I may have disconnected him from iron too...

No pikes seen yet and I should have given him a bit of a scare at his cap killing a spear/axe in there then loosing knight v cat frown he has a warrior/cat left in there. Interestingly he is keeping a lot in his moai city, which is helpful. Best case scenario for me is he whipped a load of pikes which now cannot build.

Other thing to watch out for is that Vikings are at peace with Dutch now so I need to watch my six that side. But the war has been surprisingly smooth despite the unseen forces. I will heal up in trear and then try to move out. Hopefully he won't think to beg for iron smile

Were you planning on attacking me when I declared war on you? I was surprised you had so many Knights ready to go.

Also FYI it took me 10 turns to realize I'd met you ingame which must have amused the lurkers.

No real firm plans to do anything. As you can perhaps tell from the scant thread I really struggled to get into this game. Around that time I had good tech rate but really struggling to settle new land (I have some crazy far away holdings) so I thought I would try a guilds breakout.

I was undecided about going for you/LW/2metra for ages, kept swinging back and forth. I wanted you and 2metra to burn out against each other then perhaps swoop in, but just kept it waiting and waiting really. I probably would have gone for you anyway after you didnt get your cities back at some point, but a few turns later. I knew I needed to move fast to get there before LW did.
