I was waiting for you to finish Manhattan, I'd have thought you have had it tucked away in a middling production city, one turn from completion, in case you needed to nuke everyone.

I didn't really consider it until after I'd launched. I needed every hammer I could get to keep the conventional military builds going plus all the hammers I needed for the spaceship. There was a lot of aerial attrition going on plus I had an ongoing demand for both more ships and enough garrison units to cover my key cities.
But mostly, I didn't think of it until too late. :P And I played at least one turn a bit too fast and delayed the start of Manhatten by at least 1t. If I'd been a bit more focused on nuking rather than going after corporation resources I might have gotten some ICBMs on the board in time. But I was quite happy to have finished up and launched my 2-engine wood-powered, computer-less spaceship even if I didn't get to play with nukes.
I'm not sure how many times in RB history someone has launched?

Thanks again for being a great sport about the UU fiasco.
But I think next time, I should be ahead of you in turn order rather than behind. There were a bunch of times in the early game where I was awake in the early morning and could play but you were playing shortly after I'd left for work.

I wasn't aware of just how much attrition was taking place, but I understand the part about bending everything to the goal. I've learnt a fair bit from this game I'll be using in the future: wolf packs of navy, airports matter, do not delay industrialization and get into Emancipation and Environmentalism ASAP.
I know there was an SS launch in PB1...well, two. Poor Rego.

GG Commodore.
I messed up by trying to keep two people in check early on instead of just focusing on one. Need to read my Archery flavor text more.
Also, was very surprised by how much I enjoyed the naval changes. Great addition, Krill.

I know there was an SS launch in PB1...well, two. Poor Rego. Oh, I'd say there was some attrition. 19,000h on fighters. Jets HURT.

A day later, I'm still trying to get my head around 176 dead fighters and 47 dead jet fighters.

I was a bit shocked when I checked the totals. I knew I'd been shooting down a lot of fighters but I hadn't realized it was quite that many.
I think we traded about even with regular fighters and then it was about 3:1 in favour of the jets in terms of numbers, closer to 2:1 in terms of hammers given the difference in cost. I didn't regret any of the beakers I spent on Advanced Flight.
I was taken by surprise at the inability of naval aviation and missiles to air bomb roads though. Is this a mod change? or is it in BTS?
