Turn 131 (400 AD) - Part 2
I have the Parthenon scheduled to complete next turn.
I also whipped Winterfell's Jewish temple, so it can start to run a priest soon.
Lack of stone is making the Moai Statues sllloooow. There isn't much stone on the map, I think 4 total. I should have tried to ask superdeath for a rental, though I doubt he'd be willing to rent it cheap (and that's all I'd be willing to pay).
Maybe I shouldn't have built colosseums, but I wanted them in my border cities so they could produce 2-promotion units on demand. I'll start to run Wealth again soon.
I planted another city, for a total of an even 20 now. I still have room for 4 more. I should start some more settlers soon -- any city with so much as 5 pop is at the conqueror's plateau.
No one has built the Mausoleum. Why?

Turn 132 (425 AD) - Part 1
Let's see ... No one else built any wonders this turn.
Someone other than wetbandit finally starts a Golden Age!
It's superdeath. Huh, he doesn't have Monarchy yet.
Wait, Charriu has a second Great General?
JR4 committed to attacking last turn, and Charriu actually has four units left once the dust cleared. Yeah, that wasn't nearly enough. JR4 has three more cho-ko-nus en route to finish Charriu off. (I think. That's a tiny attack force if he's coming after me, but it still inspires me to start producing a catapult on that front.)

Turn 132 (425 AD) - Part 2
I get the Parthenon as planned.
I start to run an engineer in Winterfell. A priest will join him next turn (not this turn, just to maximize the chance I get a non-scientist). I hope I win the coin flip to get something other than a scientist, in 11 turns. I should soon start to run specialists to get another Great Person in case I do.
More cities are on Wealth now. I can get Monarchy next turn; done. I'm feeling the need for Feudalism beyond it, and I can hook up wines while I'm at it.
Judaism continues to spread slowly.
I'm finally starting to build more workers! I was getting away with so few because I had relatively many island cities and was relying on Charriu's stuff, but I need to build more now.
wetbandit has the National Epic in his border city.

Before I play my turn ...

I have two comments on this. - wetbandit didn't bulb Music with his Great Artist. Okay, so he just reseearched Music then.
- Since he has the National Epic in his border city ... that means it's a prime candidate to run a starving artist commune. He might seriously culturally challenge me in that case.

Turn 133 (450 AD) - Part 1
Well, this absolutely isn't worrisome, is it?
is probably going after yuris125. Oh, wait.
Or maybe yuris125 is going to attack first! The war didn't accomplish any obvious gains right away, though, so I figure it's just to claim second half.
I'm also leaving an undefended worker on the border with .
We're at the point where he's unlikely to declare war just to snipe a worker, unless he were going to do so anyway. This still makes me feel uncomfortable, though. (Maybe it's because I played a bit too much Civ 3 SP, where the AI loves to attack unguarded workers on the border.)

Turn 133 (450 AD) - Part 2
Monarchy comes in. I set research to Feudalism and start saving up gold, though I'm not sure yet just what I want next.
I continue to let cities grow. No whips this turn!
Winterfell is now running an engineer and a priest. I'm still pushing Judaism too.
I probably need to start building more military again soon.

Turn 134 (475 AD)
JR4 now has what may be enough force to deliver the coup de grâce to Charriu.
JR4 has been reducing defenses with a single trebuchet all along, AI-style.
Halfway around the world, another scouting chariot is now poking around the border with .
No action around there ... yet.
Things are quiet domestically. I'm not sure if I'm going to power through Code of Laws or half of Feudalism next. Literature is a possibility as well.
I sure hope things stay quiet for at least another 10 turns or so. I'm not sure wetbandit will be so obliging, though.
There's finally been a one-day delay in the game. That took a long time to happen! That's actually enough to cause the gaming content of my blood to drop. Maybe I'll install Age of Wonders on this computer. (Yes, the original. Not 2 or Shadow Magic or 3.)

Charriu did finally get eliminated, as expected.
This might be the first post he sees -- your major mistake wasn't over-aggressiveness or under-defensiveness or anything like that, though those didn't help.
It was simply not pushing food production high enough in the early game.
I posted this on turn 49.
You're already dead in the water. This sort of food graph is only acceptable if you have a religion or wonder in return, and you didn't.
It took another 85 turns for elimination to actually happen, though.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I made a lot more mistakes and posted an analysis in my thread. I too came to the conclusion that this was a mayor mistake by me. Well the good thing is, now I have a lot to read.

No problem, feel free to ask any other questions you have based on what you may see here.
(I still cannot read your thread for this game.)
