Thanks ! It felt pretty nice indeed, but I still don't understand why he put it in range of my hitters, so I couldn't help but feel that it was a trap of some sort.
Stuff happenned last turn, all will be explained in next turn's report.

Apparently more stuff happened than I thought, I expected to lose a size 1 city (silver city got attacked by a sword and an axe out of a galley) but civstats says there's a big city down as well now.

Bad news this turn. Ingw (the city in the north with Pig/Fish/copper) was razed by a naval assault. I somehow missed the galley near it last turn ? IDK how that happened. His two maces (one down to 0.8) will either reembark on the galley or die next turn (2 axes a cat and a crossbow are in range). Plus silver city got captured. Agent wants white peace, he's probably fed up with this war that's put him from contender for 2nd place to almost 6th. I don't think I should take it, not with guilds coming next turn. I couldn't have the HA hammers ready to be upgraded into knight hammers, it might have been a mistake but I needed crossbows so much. He's sending a stack towards Maserus, if he goes N then NE he'll be in hitting range and once again I'll wipe it clean. I assume he won't do the same mistake twice though. Also just as I hit knights he's upgraded some impis to pikes. eh.
There's only an archer in red blood, I could use the GG on a HA, give it morale and raze the city this turn but I'm not sure that's advisable.

Ok plan is in motion. I sank one of his triremes this turn, and killed both maces in the north. In the south he stayed in the forest to flank me (figuratively) if I were to go forward, and I decided to march right into him :
You're probably asking yourself why I made a similar mistake to what he did a few turns ago ? Well this is very different, he had only one mace so my first cata destroyed him and I had odds after that. This time his 5 catas have to tear through the GG knight (I forgot that you can't give promotions after you promoted into a superior unit, it should be C4 instead of C1) then all the praets before he gets to the crossbows which are the real enemies for him. And some of my crossbows have drill 2 so less collateral on them. Basically I don't think he can really hurt me while I can definitely hurt him next turn if he keeps his stacks separated.
I'm not saying this isn't a mistake, but it's a conscious move I make, in my first real MP war : if it fails I'll have learned something.

Last turn Agent attacked, for a trade of 6 catas 3 maces 2 axes (his) for 4 crossbows and a HA. I could counter and lost 3 catas 4 HAs and an axe to soften his stack : he lost 4 axes 4 maces a sword an arcehr a chariot a pike and a scout.
This is the current situation, he has engineering so could have units in Tepepa or east of it to strike me. I think I'm going to be able to retake the city, but I sent a peace offer asking for my 3 cities. He must see that if he keeps losing battles he's going to get stabbed by CH ! And I'm not even asking for Badman's river which I should be able to take ! Anyway I think he'll reject it but you never know.
The far greater problem is that two turns ago I moved out a praet in the peninsula, to get it towards silver city, and ipecac/Dreylin have decided to take an opportunistic shot at it. I'm now labeling Dreylin as OPPORTUNISTIC MAN OF THE YEAR. Really after PB22 and the thousand worker snipes he did this game this is getting too far. He'll take the city but the praet will kill a unit next turn, then the crossbow that was conveniently finishing in the city just north of there will finish the job. But oh my why aren't all my neighbors like CH... So here's a pic with the war situation in the top left corner (2 axes 2 spears up there against my axe) and my attempt at diplomacy to calm them down.

Elum took 3 Grimace cities this turn. And with that additional land I don't see how CH will compete. But I'm having fun playing the turns so I don't want this to end, please CH don't give up. Maybe Whosit could prepare a surprise attack on former Grimace land and make this more even ?

AHA ! This changes everything ! I decided to test fate, refuse and burn red blood. Then I reasked with just the other two.
I whipped a settler in Qunum (the GS was born this turn so I could whip away the scientists) so the new city will be built 1W in 3t.
This means I can go full strength on ipecac/Dreylin who are the greatest trolls in the world and who will have to pay for it.
The 4 cities shown are my war objectives.
I changed research to aesthetics because I think vikings have no counter to knights except longbows (probably a recent acquisition) and TGL is still unbuilt. If I can get the music artist it's all for the best. In international news Elum got the Taj.
Second GP for my golden age in 9t !!!
