Our reads are always the best reads... This is curious, don't you think? tongue

What a coincidence!

Oh yes Meiz, I have experience with his foul-mouthed kind. If needs be I can tuck Ichabod into my inventory.

In all seriousness, what usually happens now? Is it tears and recriminations, or does the village try to go quiet while the wolves are prowling?

Now we wait until a little before the night end, when the veteran wolves will fake posts about who should we lynch in case they are killed (which never happens, by the way).

Posting this now so:
1. I dont get nightkilled and lose the info (even though the info would presumably be mostly about me and therefore not relevant if I'm nightkilled and I think nightkill very unlikely anyway)
2. I won't have time to edit the thread and adjust the times or something. WYSIWIG. (I typed all date/time-info in so I wouldn't quote the whole thread as it contains Uberfish messages). All times are ET (US)
Post 1 is uberfish opener.
Post 2 I already quoted (Molach): 02-01 05:46 AM
Quote:Hello, neighbour.

Or fellow disciple of the Dark Arts...

I am Molach, Human Necromancer.
I was told by Uberfish that neither of us know the alignment of the other, so don't know what to make of that...I might be talking with the enemy, so don't want to talk about my char and powers, if any. I guess just talking here will give me a clearer idea about your alignment as the game progresses.

I'm from Norway (RL) so playing Euro times. Will typically be on after kids' bedtime, around 19.00 GMT. Should be on for most lynches, but wife sometimes intercepts my chain of thought and demands attention. Apart from evenings I'm often near my smart phone to read threads but a bit harder to write something profound then, hard to quote and harder to go back and forth in the thread and cross-reference what people are saying. Trying not to play from work, perhaps a quickie on a break but I'd rather not go there.

I can talk/answer questions about quicktopics in general and uses in earlier games (might be a good idea to keep neighbour power hidden for now, rarely something good comes from revealing village powers early) but other questions regarding game might as well go in the main thread.

I'm euro time too, that's convenient.

I didn't write here because I thought it's not allowed.
Post 5: (Molach) 12:22 PM
Quote:Hm, yeah it really does say 'at night' in my PM too, I must have just glossed over that because these things have always have been day-talk things. If the intent really HAD been only to allow night talk here I would have royally screwed that up.

Okay.

If you are a villager you should write some defense in main thread - complete honesty is best advice I can give in that case.

I'll confirm in main thread too that I in fact misread my PM about the night bit, should at least explain why no answer from you.
Post 6: (Flug) 12:36 PM
Quote:Now I can't write an explanation in the main thread, because that would mean I'm a villager. On the other hand, if I don't write an explanation, that would confirm I'm not a villager. This is getting rediculous.
Post 7: (Flug) 2:41 PM
Quote:Listen, neighbor. I think this. If you don't know my team and I don't know your team, this is only possible if we both are team village, because all the wolves know each other. This give us some edge, right? What do you think of the situation?
Post 8 (Molach) 3:24 PM
Quote:I see your point, think novice/Dora also said something similar in the thread, but a similar situation has happened in at least one earlier game. I think GM has to write that neither knows the alignment of the other to maintain the uncertainty of the thread. Otherwise he would just say we are both masons - confirmed villagers - but I am a neighbour so I assume he means us to not be sure.

By the way, I won't quote any more from here without your consent. Or death

Did disclose existance of thread and neighbour power because of danger of lynch, to get more facts on the table.

If you are village, just post explanations in the main thread. Truthful, making mistakes does not make you a wolf. In fact some mistakes can be viewed as indication of innocence.

Quote:I don't mind getting lynched. I think at least some vote for me come from the wolves.

The votes right now is 6 ichabod 5 flug. I think Ichabod is a villager. The wolves are trying to get off of lynching me carefully by lynching Ichabod. If the situation keeps going this way, I think to vote for lynching me. If I don't get enough votes to get lynched, please, vote for me. I need to get more votes, because the votes for Ichabod have more weight.

Post 10 (Molach):4:08 PM
Quote:Post assumes you are villager (leaning this way after your latest post here too)

I still would prefer that you post in the thread. I've been an example of how a wolf will clam up under pressure. Agree that some of the earlier votes were wolves, but now they can let the village do the work. If Ichabod is a villager too they would be more than happy to * whoever. If you're right about Ichabod I think wolves would like to get him today, and then you tomorrow, and that is a bad start for us. But as things stand it's very easy votes right now. Hard part about wolfing is justifying a vote on someone you know is innocent - so 'easy' votes are good for them. Flug disappeared -> vote flug is safe play now.

I must be getting callous, I quite enjoyed day one, actually. I'm sorry Flug didn't feel the same way, though.

I will keep welcoming new signups, and if they keep signing up without playing, I will keep lynching them.

Serdoa - if Ichabod flips innocent, will you get off your high horse?
I have to run.

Well, I got back too late to switch. Um, now that I see the results I can't say I understand flug's motives. But as people have said, we've seen newbie villagers flounder with pressure just as much as newbie wolves. Well said, indeed...

Still flug, for next game just answer the question. Don't stress out about getting the answer right, or if it will draw heat. But this floundering about was pretty bad. I would have voted for you if I had gotten back before the deadline.

Trying to deduce Ryan from his posting. He's gotten less one-on-one confrontational then last game, which is a good thing. But i'm wondering what the change stems from - does he have different objectives here or has he learned? I was expecting to have him vote for me for not answering his (pedantic) question about how to format his answer to my question. Instead he ignores it and gets a quick tiff with Bigger.

@Molach-
Now that flug is gone, what can you share from the neighbor thread? Any clues as to why flug acted like he did?

@Ichabod-
You think Gazglum is trying to line up a day 2 target with his last minute vote? Considering I didn't like Gazglum's "flug voters are suspicious for voting flug but flug may be a wolf" post, I am open to your case.
And sorry for the walls of text, but it's done out of necessity, I assure you.

Hmmm... If I'm going to entertain that Ichabod is village then I need to look at who was sitting back and letting things happen rather than arguing between the two.

Stay awhile and listen:
I can understand your frustration Serdoa. But to be fair flug didn't really help his case. And if you are honest you know sooner or later he would have been lynched. I doubt he would have suddenly changed his play.

About our 2 lovers (or dwiddle-cryptic and dwiddle-knowitall as Gaspar once called them) what should they do? Beeing silent would bring them under heavy pressure. Yes they do have the problem that they won't aknowledge any other arguments but their own. Just look how well novice read your or my posts about Ichabod.

But to be fair I also switched off Ichabod. No I don't think he smells of roses but I was (and still am) willing to give him some
benefit of the doubt here. Maybe you should also let the Ichabod-case rest for a day to clear the mind and look again then.

Meanwhile we have a night before us to rest a rest my old bones sorely need. I hope we wont get disturbed by demons or other evil forces.

Well pin , my angry face was that you don't get your list until you tell me what exactly you wanted and didn't ignore me.

Looks like Pindicator only gets 10 posts per day/night cycle. So why don't you just give us the list in whatever format you prefer. I believe some innocent reads was all he really asked for.

I don't mind, of course not. I was just saying don't expect Pindicator to answer very promptly because he could be running out of posts.

Sorry for missing lunch, I thought Id have another chance to vote but got very hectic.
If I had been online I would've voted molach, even before the neighbour thing.
I found niether ichabod or flug massively suspicious - flug seemed a bit more flailing villager (though his bot voting was a bit wierd) and ichabod had a sufficient mix of decent posts to leave him for the day.
Molach on the other hand, has felt very non-commital - as though he's skirting on the edge of the action helping out from time to time, but remaining predominantly aloof as though he's observing but not participating.
Ok that was badly explained, but his BRick vote is.a good example of that as though he's saying "vote this. there are reasons which I will provide later" not necessarily bad in and of itself, but the lack of explanation and the detached tone feels suspicious to me.
Another example (by no means are these all, its more a.gut feelingthat I'm trying to qualify, and these are the posts that show it best) is the whole neighbour thing.
Despite it intrinsically being related to him, I haven't seen a single example of him participating strongly in the discussion, nor having a good read, (by good I mean string, like he's taken a stance) instead, as before he remains apart - contributing stuff from the neighbour thread and relating to his part in it, but never becoming, I suppose []invested[/] in the lunch.lynch

Anyway this is a long winded way of qualifying a suspicion, but I hope its better then the ryan attack.

What's the jkaen/ichabod connection?
I couldn't work it out.
