WW20: Legend of the Undercity

Sorry I couldn't get back on to answer some of those late questions. I was pretty sure that flug was just a struggling villager, hence me voting Ichabod despite our roles as he did look slightly suspicious.

I may or may not answer some questions about the connection tomorrow, I see no benefit of doing it during the night phase

(ooc: just kidding, Serdoa, don't get mad at me)

It just gets frustrating that in the last 3 games I post a case and it is dismissed EVERY single time by novice and zakalwe, often times even attacking me in the process - WW18, I tell them Q is scum, zakalwe butts heads with me all day, in the end Q WAS scum. WW19, I tell them Selrahc is scum, novice ignores it, telling me I am too nitpicky, agreeing with Selrahc who tells me that I am taking him to literal - and in the end Selrahc WAS scum. 2 out of 3 I know already that I was right. Does that mean I am right this time as well? No, not at all. Does it mean that I do expect that the cases I made are at least read and thought about. Yes, actually it does.

Well, or rather that was my stance till yesterday. From now on I will employ Biggers stance and just shut up. Play your game, have fun and when you come around to it, lynch me. I don't care and I especially am not interested to yet again go till the last day to save the village, like in WW18 and WW19.

Did you after flug flipped innocent? See, why should I then?

@Rowain: What you say is true and flug didn't help his case at all, quite the opposite. Lynching himself because he believes - without any evidence - that Ichabod is village makes no sense for me. At the start as villager you only know your own alignment. Sacrificing yourself for someone you believe is village just makes no sense, it is trading (from your point of you) a 100% villager for a 50%-75% villager.

Spoilered for irrelevancy wink
Shut the f**k up about '18, you had no case.
I was lunches because people a)wanted me to shut up, and b) other people (I.e. uberfish) found better tells that you ignored.
My "useless" post is something I would've made no matter what, do you know what my least favorite part about that game was?
The knowledge that afterwards you would say that
you caught a wolf with your day 1 play. You didn't. You lynched a player, who happened to be a wolf because it was tasunkes game and the d1 lunch had about a 60% chance of being evil once the clique is removed.

My play was the same as Day 1 in WW19, in which I nailed a wolf on the first day as well. wink And there it had only a 25% chance to nail a wolf. Btw: You made a similar post in WW19 to what you did in WW18 (at least on the surface) but I did dismiss it as you being a villager. So it seems I can differentiate, even though the wolf-players tell everyone all the time I wouldn't be able to. Just saying - oh, and WW18 had a little bit more play than the first day btw, in which I do believe I didn't do that bad either. Does still not mean I am right in this game at all though - but I am not asking anyone to believe me without looking at the case themselves. I am only asking that they DO look at the case before they dismiss it for being from Serdoa

Serdoa please stop the martyr posts.

You put forward an accusation and got half a dozen people to follow you, yes it didnt get the person lynched, but other people were acting equally strange. It still amounts to lots of people listening to you

How many people did I get following me onto Tansuke? Zero, yet you dont see me whining about it.

Keep playing like you did yesterday and you will succeed in getting somebody lynched I expect

Everyone should lighten up a bit. I think some percentage of the purpose of this particular variant is some lighthearted fun which I think went out the window about 6 hours into the game. No reason we can't all play to win and joke around a bit - if everyone was about 10% less sensitive we'd all be happier.

(I realize there's a bit of pot meet kettle to me saying this, but I suppose I'm telling myself too.)
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

@Q
Lewwyn did tell you that your post looks suspicious. To quote
Lewwyn in Hunter-topic Wrote:BTW Q you are going to need to do something quick about your "useless" statement. A villager would not see the first vote as useless because it is about applying pressure even if you have no idea who the person is.

And with that can you younglings stop your quarreling? It disturbs my sleep.

IMO your play was (a little bit) better '19, though still nitpicky and vaguely pedantic (that's why I disregarded it d1, but when selrahc didn't scumhunt after I got suspicious).
I don't count the 19 post, considering it was clearly intended at you and thus you could tell it Wes on pur.pose.
And yeah your 18 play gets better - I do generally like your cases, you just seem to feel the need to make one even when you have no real tells, and thus your d1 play gets you flak.
Anyway this is irrelevant, so pm me if you'd like to discuss further.

Rowain,
Yes he did.

Sorry did you have a point?
I disagreed with him then, and I still do, the first vote of a gamey IS useless. They are also wildly overanalysed - anyone remember the innuendo debacle of 17? I dont consider a vote in the first half of day 1 that is. a joke vote, which is switched off two minutes later "serious" even if it does make a viable candidate.
I even explained myself, qualifying that it was the initial joke vote, not the village vote itself that I consider useless. I still disagree about pressure to, why should a villager feel pressured in the first 24hrs, when no reason is being provided?
