[PB63 Spoilers] - Pindicator Unlocks 10 Year Achievement

Question is what sort of game do you want to play?

I suspect that the map will be quite stringy due to the tile limitation and the minimum distance between capitals. Does this push against the idea of Greece, if there is less utility in a bomb? Do you care less about REXing into a broken economy?

The first leader pick was the ultrasound and balanced Mehmed and the second pick was Boudicca. So do you want to try something different like Pro/Org of anything?

The start can be played a couple of different ways but I think AH before BW is a necessity. You need to double check but I think worker to wb to scout to warrior finishes at size 5 if you Micro between the banana and clam ro get the food and hammers perfect, for an eot31 settler, but this only works with CHM. This allows the oasis and clam to be worked for some commerce. Other choices are settled at three after worker first, or workBoat first and stop at size 4 for eot31 settled, but the settlers always come before BW if AH is before BW.

Really how this start is played does not depend on the leader pick, so I'd just say pick what looks interesting.

Man, I was having the hardest time recreating your start and hitting those builds on time until I realized that it only works with a Fishing/Hunting civ.

Greece is probably what I'll pick, though. I've had some thoughts of France (never played with MP musketeers), PHI Korea or Russia just because I'd like to try bulbing Education and building cheap Unis for a fast Oxford one time, and a little bit of AGG Japan for early Amphib swords off of boats. But I feel like Greece is solid, CHM Odeons will be nice to dovetail growing taller on this capital with building catapults around the empire, and there are just lots of directions to go on a solid foundation.

Just wanted to think out the other options a little more, but I'm locked in for Greece.

Do we need CHA for that opening to work? Emperor capital is 5 happy. Dont' get me wrong, I like CHA for this for other reasons too: better ship promotions on a map where water will supposedly matter, cheap Odeons for growing the capital while opening up catapults. I don't even mind it for the monument border pop, especially since Odeons can take that over in the classical era.

The size 5 opening should work for any civ, but it will need an mp, so would need 2 warriors. I don't know if the capital needs an mp with a single additional happy, which would give an option for a scout.

Actually we should be fine with CtH Chm at size 5.

You know if you want to play the ultimate ground game, pick Creative and force players to forward settle into you to stop the pink dot artist bomb, then murder them with one move collateral from minimum spaced front cities. Then artist bomb early on to break open their cities and control their roads.

Edit: I am only suggesting this as an idea, I am not saying this is a good idea.

You mean San Martin, Cre/Cha? I had hoped somebody would pick him one day. The power of 10h monuments wink

In PB59 we used to border him, and it feels pretty uncomfortable already without artists in the mix. Luckily we got a border with maximum distance to his cities.

Work is eating up my mental bandwidth today, I'm not sure what I'm going to pick yet. I found an error in my sandbox and now I can't get the eot31 settler to work. Will dig into it a bit more after work or just pick Darius as a crutch
