[PB66] Tarkeel and civac explore the untamed wilds

Turn 46 (2160 BC)
Kelethin is founded and we're the last team to three cities. We do however have four workers supporting them, and two more scheduled.

Wooly might have to be moved 2N1E if the land doesn't extend further out, so we don't orphan the clams.

Kelethin is the home city of the wood elves, and being built into the treetops is a pain to navigate.

Why is the elf character so small in that picture?

Turn 50 (2000 BC) State of the Realm
Dagnor's Cauldron put out another settler, which will settle RockyBeach in two turns, bringing us up to four. Kaladim has another settler coming for a fifth city to grab the copper.

Kaladim: Our capital has a granary, and working twin seafoods it's mainly happy-limited in whipping (for now), so we're actually working the unimproved ivory and a grasshill mine.
Dagnor's Cauldron: Will have it's granary done soon, and will steal wheat from the capital to grow. It got a free religion spread to claim the sheep, but we're still mising AH to improve it. It's a rather crappy second city, and main job is to support the east and grow cottages.
Kelethin: Freshly founded, it's granary will be chopped out ASAP, before whipping a monument which has several small benefits: A new corn, another grasshill to work, and a forest that Wooly2 can chop into a granary.

The economy is pretty decent, mainly due to low maintenance.

Expansion is our key focus for the short term. We have several good city sites slated, and we also want Sailing to claim the island in the bay towards MagicScience.

Turn 51 (1960 BC)
Kaladim whips out the settler for the copper, so we'll be up to five cities in two turns and three granaries next turn. Copper comes online just in time, as there's barbarians on the border:

We might have to whip out an axe after the copper is hooked up to deal with them.

Turn 53-54 (1840 BC)
Ak'Anon was founded to claim the copper in the west on T53, and the barbarian are invading.

Luckily the first one suicided on the forest preservation squad, while the other advanced to the plainshill.

Ak'Anon is the home city of the clockwork gnomes.

The Civ gods (and possibly Krill also) are in a whimsical mood these turns.

Moreover, as you can see we successfully killed our economy.

They keep coming.

We also met JackRB's badly wounded warrior.

The borders appear to be Mjmd's. He has a lot of cities but it's slightly conerning that he is here as well.

The pig island apparently is the malignant design of the map god, Krill.

Situation looks so-so.

Food has improved markedly, the other stats are still pretty dire

The economy has recovered a little bit so we are gonna whip some more settlers.

One city is going on the desert tiles marked as Hotstuff. Another one is planned north of the Wooly sign in the north-east.

We are a bit worried about the long-term commerce potential of our land. Deliberations about remedies are still ongoing. Unfortunately, none of the economy wonders is viable. MS is going to snatch the colossus long before we could build it. The GLH is equally implausible and the game would end before any of our cities managed to build the pyramids.
