Oracle (CoL) looks viable to me. Sheep can be mined (1f4h) so AH can be skipped (initially). I might be tempted to go BW->Mysticism->Meditation(cheaper than Poly)->Priesthood->Writing. See no reason not to SIP no matter what opening you decide on. Looking forward to "The Plan". smile

As much as i would love to see my offered plan in action, i dont thinl you can reasonably skip Pottery and Granaries as EXP

I do all the time. Depends on whether you go 2nd quick city (for settler pump which means you need cottages to keep commerce going) or do 1 city fast Oracle. Also depends on how many good sites are nearby. If the land is good, I probably would ignore Oracle and just REX hard (BW->The wheel->Pottery->Writing).

@ work.

Would SIP & BW first. Maybe do warrior first, grow on corn & whip 1st worker when BW comes in?

Intriguing, but probably inferior to just building the worker. For one thing we wouldn't have any 3f tiles for three turns so we'd be working riverside grassland then.

Hmmm...2SE of the settler looks like it might be water.

Oh and I guess if we grew first we'd be working the forested silk for 3 turns.

I'm willing to be corrected on this. Like I said, i'd love to see my plan put into action smile But we do agree that playing what the land gives you is the best plan.

Which way for the warrior scout fearless leaders? Hope to view something to the north with him or to the east?

Possibly even northeast. If he revealed an additional resource we could consider moving, but given all those forest tiles it's highly unlikely. But we really need to get the save first and examine the fog before deciding.

Question: Are you going to sandbox this (for at least the starting turns)? I can get it set up if you do that kind of thing.

Yeah, will definitely run a sandbox for the early game. So long as anyone but me is the one to create and maintain it. wink
