Pretty silly looking indeed wink.

I've been considering, if I should try culture win. It would be pretty easy from here. I already have 4 good cities (i.e. 3 + backup) best ones having already 2000 culture points + I've 3 religions. I could just reasearch Steel+Railroad and I would probably be able to handle the attack from WK and Mackoti after that. Nevertheless we need to handle Serdoa before that, but I think I already have the military needed for this effort. Culture feels a bit lame victory condition and I definately have a shot also to other types of victories, but this would definately be fastest way to win.

I think the word you're looking for is "hard". And really really exciting. (See PBEM24 for example.) Let me put it this way, most victories are by boring concession because you just get ahead enough that people know you will win. But no one would ever concede to someone going for culture, because they are turning it into a dramatic and uncertain finish.

@plako: don't forget that you are playing vs Humans who will watch the victory-screen, look at your research-rate and take note of any GA you spawn.

PS: IMO you deserve to win this game.

Yeah - I probably underestimate the effort since I'm not that big on counting things far ahead. I guess I'll see, if I can secure NAP extension with either one of them and only after that go full steam ahead. Now I just make minor preparations and spread religions and slow build some religious buidings, when I don't have anything better to do. This is far from optimal since too many priorities often mean bad end result, but I don't think I want to commit fully yet.

Thank you for the support. I definately wouldn't be able to fool them, but attacking against railroaded nation is hard. They need either Bombers or Artillery in numbers.

Played uneventful turn earlier today. Serdoa's stack is pretty much the same as before. Mackoti got Steam Power and can research Railroad next. I'll follow so that I can grab the research bonus from known techs. I've changed most of my builds to infra and therefore will convert to OR next turn to speed up things on that department and also speed up missionary builds. I'm also considering coverting to Caste System although my new cities could use some slavery to get productive faster.

Yet another uneventful turn. Serdoa is no longer making his stack bigger so I guess all "free" troops are there and the new ones he is building are somewhere else.

I converted to OR+Caste. MAckoti did the same + adopted also Free Speech so we're now both fully in peaceful civics. Mackoti's power has also totally stagnated. He researched Steam Power last turn and told he is heading towards Railroad. I'm doing the same.

The halfway effort of Cultural victory is making me too unfocused. I guess I need to discuss with Mackoti or WK about NAP continuations so that I can do full effort.

Did anyone build Sistine? Serdoa perhaps?

Serdoa did and too bad it belongs to WK's area of influence. Actually it was WK's city for a short while, but then he lost it to Serdoa again.

Chatted with Mackoti about potential NAP extension. He saids he wants to think about it. Not liking much this response so I sent a message to WK too. I haven't seen him in chat for quite a while.
