I have no interest in piling on to pile on. The chat was close to the worst case scenario but at least it was with the team where diplo matters the least. And, of course being there it had a certain gallows humor what with the combination of chat and spoken rant.
Let's not pretend scooter's rule is new though. In fact, we had this exact same discussion what, one day ago? Sullla deserves some leeway both as the turnplayer and as an admin on this site, but if any member of the team is going to rush full speed ahead despite unanimous opposition including desperate all-caps calls to just pause for 10 seconds to think, we may as well not have a 'demo'game. Over the last week we've had some laughs, but we've also had misclicks and improper diplo each from multiple people. Without claiming any one act was singularly unacceptable, and without trying to have the final word on the importance of diplo vs unit moves, can everyone in-game just please slow down. Trust me, we won't lose the game during the 10 seconds needed to take a few breaths. 
It might be worth mentioning that our turnplayer came into this game after a heated session of LoL and everyone knows how badly LoL fucks with your social etiquettes.

Haha, I finally got through the magical minutes. Yeah they totally said bullshit. But I don't really care about that, I'm more annoyed about them trying to talk down to us with "Well that's life kiddo! Once you grow up you'll do what we'll tell us to do". Well fuck that, you're entitled to nothing, as you have nothing to negotiate with.
So we need to pre-emptively shittalk them from now on at every opportunity. Every time someone brings the fact that we stole cities from WPC, we bring up the fact that they had a giant stack next to a German city, easily capable of capturing the city, walked their stack 2 tiles north and back again, giving the germans 4 turns to whip that city for LBs and stream in reinforcements. We didn't steal squat, WPC would have probably lost their entire empire to a German counterattack if if we weren't involved.
Just tell people they walked their army in a circle for 4 turns. Easy and true.
